Roger you might want Scorbunny but when this announcement was made for the Kalos game my immediate thought was of my best friend. She has been my absolute rock and lifeline for over a decade now. Always pushing me back from the brink whenever I’ve been at my lowest and had mental breakdowns. She is everything to me and I know how obsessed she is with FENNEKIN. Fennekin is her favorite pokemon of all time. Like your love for Likitung. So I hope with every part of me that Fennekin is in this and has an emphasis in this game being an original starter from X and Y. She’s sleeping right now and I’m waiting for her to wake up to tell her the news

Fennekin won't be a starter because none of the Sinnoh starters were part of Legends Arceus. My theory is Snivy, Torchic and Popplio. If not Torchic, maybe Scorbunny for the football theme because France is big on Football, too.

The Lumiose City blueprint looks like it's similar to those old kingdoms back in the medieval era where it's circular and within it is compact and full of houses and in the middle would be the main castle. The place was probably almost reduced to dust in the war and after it, Kalos probably entered a golden age after discovering steam or mechanical stuff and started modernizing their region (talking about the city from the movie featuring volcanion). Idk really it's just a theory but yeah

I wonder if they'll go back on the great pokemon war being 3000 years ago stuff. Like if they made it line up with WW1 (The Great War), this could easily take place in like 1920s-1930s Lumiose City with plans for a modern rebuild after being decimated by war times.

I had some experience with Motion Capture for vid games and gotta say new Pokemons have such fluid and cool animations and movement choreography. It's such a funny, small detail you wouldn't necessarily expect in a title like this and such a big step from these GameBoy games. Ps. You almost saw me as Leon in these new Resident Evil games :)

I wanted a new Legends game, but certainly didn't expect them to announce it today, for next year and about gen 6 instead of 5 or at most 2 as we all were expecting, what a cool surprise! I think it will take place in either the future or, even more likely to me, a relatively recent past - considering we're talking about Pokémon's Paris counterpart and they mentioned urban redevelopment plans, it would make a lot of sense if it took place around 1889, i.e. when the Exposition Universelle took place and the Eiffel Tower was built.

They probably teased gen 5 in the DLCs of Scarlet and Violet because they're planning to make gen 5 remakes for gen 10. It's incredibly smart because that way they can already predict to make the 3rd Legends game based on gen 5 after the remakes' release.

Other things to consider, Roger, potential Ride/HM Pokemon. Aerodactyl or Talonflame could be our Fly. The starter lineup sounds good. I do wonder about Quaxly though, since the Dex says it's not native to Paldea. Granted, by doing that, they can include it whenever now.

Something to keep in mind, Paris went through a major redevelopment in the late 1800’s that was officially finished then the real world Eiffel Tower was completed. So it’s prion the past and you are a part of the redevelopment team

Agree with Piplup (Napoleon reference) and Scorbunny (EU football), but I'd give some shine to Chikorita. Plus, why not give the French region the food starter? (chicory/bayleaf) I'd imagine the Kalosian types to be: Cinderace (fire/fairy): unique typing that complements the cycle Empoleon (water/fighting): Napoleon Meganium (grass/steel): food rich in Iron

I think It's future and goes with the theme from SV of Past and Future. Since it's Z - could mean 'through ' A. Alpha is first letter of greek alphabet corresponds to A and Omega is the last which corresponds to Z. So (Zygarde/oMEGA Arceus/Alpha. Alphas are in the Legends Arceus so I wonder if Z-A will have Omegas and they're like a future version of Megas like maybe they are permanently fused together with their megas like how you can get Alpha spawns while still being able to get their normal form in the wild. Also bonus points if we're the ones that send AZ's Floette to him from the future and AZ is connected to Area Zero hence why we're getting this game next because it is lore also for SV.

Megas are broken however it also lets others shine where they previously didn't. This could be new styles or just viability altogether. My favorite was probably Mega Mawile and I wasn't even a Mawile fan previously. Def made her viable (Well that and Fairy typing) EDIT: Also I think it's going to basically be like B2/W2.

there will have to be representation in the starters from gens 1-3. Arceus had gen 2 fire, gen 5 water, and gen 7 grass. very spread out. you gotta capitalize on the nostalgia from the starters. Gen 4 water, gen 5 grass, and gen 8 fire doesn’t bring enough of the old school rep.

I believe a Pokémon remake will happen every other generation, aside from the gen 1 remakes each remake happened every other gen (gen 2 remake ij gen 4, gen 3 remake in gen 6 and gen 4 remake in gen 8) so I think after gen 10 is when we get gen 5 remakes on switch 2

I want to be honest I can see them putting in the lower that Greninja is special form with Ash is just the native form of a Greninja that has either mastered and honed their skills. Then we may just see greninja's and that form natively walking around without it being a transformation

When you think about it, all they have to do to make Mega Evolutions more balances is to reduce the amount of stats each Mega gets when buffed across the board from +100 to +75.

If it was delta, there would be a line at the bottom. I think it's suppose to be A where the bottom part of the Z goes through the mid section to finish the A. Z-A or A-Z. Maybe we get more about the AZ.

I hope hope Megas being around and it being about expanding Lumiose doesn't mean it won't focus on AZ and the ancient war: That was easily the most interesting part of Kalo's history and something XY didn't explore nearly as much as it should have, so for it to not be a major part of Legends Z-A would be a gigantic missed opportunity. But Mega Stones only existed after AZ's weapon was fired, and I likewise imagine Lumiose's expansion project would be relatively recent, not during AZ's reign.... I'm pretty worried.

Just looking at the title “Legends” reads as tales from the past. However, the urban development plans looks to be present/future lumiose. I think this game will have some form of time travel like Legends Arceus but more flushed out. You start in present Kalos where the city has the urban development plan but you will be able to go back to the past during AZ’s time and the pokemon war before the weapon fires. You get to learn more about the past and maybe the actions of going back will affect the urban development plan or how Lumiose will change. Just a thought, really hard to say. Like you mentioned AZ and the war were very important and weren’t flushed out so would be a missed opportunity not to use it in some form, even if we aren’t actually in the war itself.

We're finally getting Mega Evolution back & we're FINALLY GETTING POKEMON Z!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Albeit it's interesting that it's in the form of a Legends game; and interesting theories that are forming are possibly either taking place in the era of AZ's time when he was king/the warring Kalos period OR due to despite being a Legends game but we have Cities & with the wording of Redevelopment Plans & the art maybe Z-A might take place in the future!!!!!!! My main hope for that when it comes to Megas that we get more Kalos pokemon would get Mega Evolutions considering it's the region that kickstarted the mechanic. A majority of Megas that we have now (from most to least; not including Reversion) mainly are from: Hoenn (20), Kanto (13), Johto (6), Sinnoh (5), & Unova + Kalos have 1 each; so it would be nice to even it out with the region that started the phenomenon for Kalos to gain more Mega Evolutions

I know it makes little sense since they're already based on ancient runes but what about 'modern form' Unown? Let me explain: we could FINALLY read MODERN pokemon language since it's different from Unown messages. I get that they could've just used them since they're the alphabet pokemon but that could also be a hint too. Not of a Johto remake but Unown specifically. It wouldn't be the first time in the day that they threw us a curve ball.
