Now that you say this, I just realized that you can catch a level 7 moltres in gen 1, then trade that Pokemon to gen 2 games, then level it up & it should learn flamethrower at level 49 right?? A moltres with flamethrower, agility, fire spin, & sky attack would be like the holy grail of legendary birds 👌

This is the trainer escape glitch you can search it on youtube and you can use it on every trainer or pokemon of the map to encounter different pokemon based on special stat of the last fought pokemon, lot of glitches like the mew glitch are based on this one, for how they discovered this glitch, i don't know, guess lot of free time and knowledge of the code of the game

Basically smart people who understand programming get access to the source code of the game, understand how the game decides which Pokemon to spawn and discover how you can manipulate the game to execute code it normally shouldn't execute to summon a different pokemon.

@@Nahjustcookingsame glitch most likely. You could catch every Pokemon with this glitch. Run into a Pokemon, beat it and go back to the area in which you flew away from a trainer and you will fight a level 7 of that Pokemon. Or, if you really want to get technical, you could face a certain Pokemon, use growl on it up to six times. Then when you go back to the area where you ran away, you will come across a Pokemon with a level of 6 if you used growl once, 5 if twice, etc. I caught a level one everything. What's crazy is the huge difference you'll have when you compare the Cerulean Cave Mewtwo and a glitch Mewtwo. I had a level 60 something and all its stats with the exception of Defense were at least 15-20 higher. Defense was still higher but I think it was 10-15. TLDR: Try this glitch out with a list of number that will coordinate with different Pokemon (which you can look up) and you could raise a level one of anything you want. Be careful leveling up level one's though. Too little experience will have it jump all the way to 100.

I encountered Dragonite in Cerulean City since i fought biker but, i paralyzed him with Pikachu and my Charmeleon used scratch and he has really low HP and i throw pokeballs at him but, it always says that i missed! I am also playing Yellow.

it is possible even with ditto glitch, but the best way to make it grow to level 100 is by doing missingno's glitch then you will be able to give it 99 rare candies and its stats will be better ;)

+Tobitube93 I actually haven't found a trainer that you get Mewtwo after battling. Although if you did the Ditto trick on any trainer, then you get Mewtwo. If I ever get back into making these again, then I'll try and find a Mewtwo trainer (and make Ditto trick vids)

Why do all this for dragonite when you have 78x master balls already cheating and have mewtwo? Just cheat your way to lv 100 with full stacked team or use gameshark then. Lv 7 drago much harder to level and not even worth the time, effort or max potential less from stat increase difference pre/post evolution. Plus learns moves a lot later.

There is another way. Through the trainer in the grass left of nugget bridge, the scientist in mansion(basement), or get lucky and encounter a Pokémon in front of a trainer you haven’t battled(and faint to that Pokémon)
