I was actually just curious since I just thought of asking, but since yesterday was April 7th, wasn't yesterday your birthday? I figured that yesterday was your birthday since I remember you saying something about that in a previous video many years ago, so I still remembered and Happy Belated Birthday to you again! I'm glad you had a great birthday and that you also got to see today's solar eclipse as well! I saw part of the eclipse where I live too, but I wasn't right in the totality of it since it was only just a partial eclipse in my area even though I still got to see it earlier today. That's also cool that you're 32 and I was actually wondering how old you were since you seem to be around my age. I'm also 32 for the time being, but I'll be 33 later this summer in August, and my birthday is August 2nd. So, I'll be turning 33 then since I'm just a year older than you. -Back in my Day Pokemon was good- but while this game introduced everything good in the Pokemon franchise, holy crap is this game outdated and unbalanced. Thank God we got Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen to make Gen 1 good again

... Um. Okay yes they're unbalanced but FRLG are a mess implementing stuff that breaks the game more than any balancing issues the originals had. I didn't lump them in here cause they're so... Ugh...

Or that the psychic type was the most disgustingly broken thing in the franchise until Gen 8 was made Or that Gen 2 is the byproduct of everything Gen 1 failed to implement I honestly don't see how FireRed and Leafgreen "break the game" when they added so much to the battle system that makes them much more fun and strategic

If you're using 3DS there is functionality for it. Otherwise no. Transfer the sav to a modded 3ds

Doesn't take much for someone who's played a little of Red, Blue, and Yellow to know just how beneath par it is. The horrible imbalances coupled with mechanics tied to stats and moves are the major differences that defines a decent or deplorably god-awful experience. It is the first of many, so I do appreciate the originality of Pokemon back in the day. Every challenge you happened on was a learning experience and got you attuned to type advantages and matchups. Exploration and interaction helped leagues as well. Unfortunately, you learn quickly that some aspects of the game were well and truly poorly designed. Psychic types like Alakazam and Mewtwo were virtually unmatched in terms of typing, speed, and power. If you were lucky enough to catch an Abra, you'd nearly demolish the whole game if you managed to evolve it with a friend and spamming Psychic moves. I haven't played the game enough to make this argument solid, but from what I experienced of its remakes and what I did learn of the originals, I can only give Generation 1 a measly 3/10. The game had promising potential that would more or less remain untapped until years and years later in games that are, believe it or not, worse than it.

@@HamsterBomb Maybe, yeah. Even from a design standpoint, it's hard for me to stand behind the original games. I'll need to find a way to play them to rethink my standing on it, cause my first experience was pretty bad.
