RBY wasn't that bad. Only major annoying things was Psychic was ridiculously OP, Ghost/Dragon moves were non existent and a few other things. Other than that the game ran good for the tech of the time.

You know, the more I watch these videos, the more I come to a sad realisation. I'm starting to understand why some of them occur, I now get that the arms and the faces glitch out when you see someone using the camera mode from an outside perspective, the model warps and changes so that some parts don't appear in the picture, I get that, or I can undertsand why some NPCs walk in on a battle happening, their path is scripted and so they somehow end up on the battlefield removing their collision not to interfere, it's understandable, God knows what the fuck is up with that olive puzzle, but we know why that specific part is bugged. But a glitch being understandable does not make it excusable. Wanna know why? If I, a person who has very limited experience or knowledge of coding and programming, can notice these glitches and sorta explain why they're happening, THE WHOLE TEAM AT GF SHOULD HAVE DONE SO TOO. It literally looks like this game had ZERO beta testing. These glitches are easy to get on a normal playthough and surely, if any of the developers at GF gave the game more time, could have been fixed and avoided. Instead, just to make the deadline and sell the third game this year, they just had to gloss over them, ignore the issues and publish them, because they know all too well the game is gonna sell anyway. This seriously needs to end. GF has to realise that games require time and effort to make.

Some of these--- not all, mind you ---don't seem like bugs (errors in game's intended function) so much as oversights (game's intended function does not account for edge cases, multiplayer, etc.). Also, I see your mouse cursor when you caught the Finizen. Thankfully I haven't had many glitches, mostly just lag/poor performance; how many of your glitches could have been caused by the emulator?

These bugs are present in the actual game on Switch. All the glitches and bugs get exported to emulators since it's literally the same game source code.

@@_Just_Another_Guy Emulators do not run games perfectly. In fact, Switch emulators right now struggle with certain graphical aspects of various games. I left the original comment because, thankfully, my game has largely run fine besides typical lag.

What The Pokémon Company really should've done is delayed this game for at least one more year, if not two. Making a 3D open-world game takes a minimum of 5 years. And that's without the 1000+ Pokémon models that need to be rendered and animated. Look at Breath of the Wild. At most, it has maybe only around 20 different monster types with slight variations (electric, fire, ice) such as moblins, bokoblins, keese, lizalfos, etc. And it still took nearly 7 years to develop and polish.

At this point, I'm tempted to believe one of two things: 1) Players are going out of their way to look for as many ways to break the game as possible for one reason or another, or 2) Game Freak deliberately left loads of bugs and glitches in for people to find and mess around with. Either way, that infinitely-spawning wild Pokémon glitch (the penultimate clip with Froslass and Tinkaton) looks like a neat way to grind XP and materials if it can be done in other places as well. I hope that never gets "fixed".

I can guarantee you that this game was rushed through QA beta testing because 3 years to develop an ambitious open-world game is not enough even for any experienced company. Most open-world games need at least a minimum of 5 years and that includes going through a lengthy QA beta testing to iron out most bugs & glitches that may have been missed on ALL sections of the overworld map (which is where 90% of these glitches occur).

All I did was make a couple of possible observations based on what I watched, and I said that I was merely _tempted_ to believe them, not that I _"fully"_ believed them (though the first of the two is highly likely now, since at least one streamer has gone on record basically saying "Let's break Pokémon for clout lol"). For what it's worth, I'm enjoying the games so far and I haven't yet encountered any glitches like the ones that have been shown here.
