There are 2 special Toros version, in your game is the a Fire/Fighting version. in the Violet one is Water/Fighting. You can check by the mane having red details and different horns and tails

I raised a Tinkatink on my Violet playthrough. No regrets at all. It served me very well!

Something to keep in mind as you go along is that since there is no level-scaling, you need to be careful which bosses you fight. Use the trainers and wild pokemon to gage how strong the gym leader/ star base / titan pokemon will be before you fight them. Say for example you fight a wild pokemon at level 30, you can assume that the gym leader near by will be at least that strong, and probably a few levels stronger.

The only time that doesn't work is for the ground titan, who is inexplicably level 45 in a level 25-30 area.

@@SophisticatedGoat222 an appropriately leveled Arboliva takes easy care of it in Scarlet tho 😂. I did it way earlier and only saw its level later

Also Scykoh, that Wattrel has a pretty powerful evolved form that happens at a pretty low level. Would be a great addition to the team!

Don't worry too much about missing Gimmigoul coins - it's not like the Spiritomb wisps in Legends where you needed every single one. You'll likely find more than enough just exploring naturally!

Are you suuuure you’re locked down to your team of 6, Scykoh? Now that Craftee has evolved it would be so cool to see you swap out a few and see what the other Pokemon have to offer! I’m also saying this cause I’m a big fan of Tinkatink :)

Be careful when it comes to the gyms and titans, because the order isn't just going clockwise or counter clockwise in the map. For example, the first gym (lowest level) is the bug gym on the opposite side of the main city while the grass gym is the 2nd gym. I think the team star gives hints as to their order, but the game doesn't give a proper order for the gyms and titans and so its easy to do it wrong. don't wanna spoil anything past the first gym but saw a comment saying paying attention to the levels trainer and wild pokemon battles in the area, and also compare that to the current gym level you can raise pokemon and catch them to.

I lucked into an adamant Tediursa from like my first tera raid. I boxed it to use Gen 9 pokemon instead. Then I realized my team was a bad match for something, looked in my box, saw the nature, saw the giga impact TM I'd found and knew what I had to do. Also if you go talk to the professor in the biology lab at the school, he gives you 3 false swipe TMs for having caught 30 pokemon.

Watrell is great! Especially the evolution. Get a version with Volt Absorb and its one of the best flying pokes imo

Yeah I haven't noticed any performance increases with the recent patch but I'm still enjoying the heck out of this game.

Yeah I haven't noticed any performance improvements, only heard claims from generally biased sources. As far as I'm aware the only thing the patch did was (kind of) remove the item dupe glitch. Might have also added something for the event raid but idk about that one.

I dunno if you noticed this mechanic, but once you use smack down on a flying type, dig becomes effective against them. It basically removes their flying type by taking them out of the air :)

I don’t think amyone will believe this, but I actually caught a level 41 Deino, and it wasn’t from a Tera Raid battle! I didn’t realize what level it was until I found it in my box! I was at a point in the game where my Pokémon weren’t aren’t that close to its level.

Hey Scykoh!! Here’s a tip for the battle camera, if you push down on the right joystick during a battle it’ll recenter the camera. Hope that helps!

Picard's Log Day 16 - YO! Today is going to be an amazing day! I can just feel it! ^_^ Let's get things started shall we? We started things off today by finding the TM for Light Screen while exploring! ^_^ Scykoh then caught a wild Drifloon that he decided to name Drifpoo. Scykoh then caught a Paldean version of Tauros! Wow! ^_^ He decided to name it Tootauros. There's a farting cow joke here, but, that's beneath me...XD Scykoh then caught a wild Teddiursa that he named Pooh! ^_^ Then Scykoh caught a wild Venonat! As a result of that battle, I learned how to use my Aqua Cutter technique! ^_^ Scykoh named the Venonat Venobutt. Then we found the TM for Draining Kiss while exploring! ^_^ Then we got into a Tera battle against a Tinkatink! Scykoh quickly defeated it, caught it, and named it Stinkastink! Scykoh then got into a battle against a Cabbie named Pablo who sent out - predictably - his Squakabilly so Scykoh responded by letting Necali play with this avian adversary! ^_^ Scykoh then quickly caught a Komala that he named Komala zzzz. As a result of the battle, Goose :) learned how to use his Ancient Power technique in exchange for his Flail technique. Scykoh then found the TM for Air Cutter while exploring! That way I'm not the only one who can use it! ^_^ #SharingIsCaring Then Scykoh found the TM for Snarl while exploring! ^_^ Then we got into a battle against a Student named Felix who started things off by sending out his Sunflora so Scykoh let Fiona play with this flowery fiend! ^_^ Scykoh then found a wild Wattrel so he caught it and named it Pretzel! YUM! Scykoh then caught a wild Mareanie that he named Mapeanie! Scykoh then caught a wild Shellos that he named Fartos. What will happen tomorrow?

although dunsparce got a new evolution in this generation, thr evolution itself is not really that unique and the Pokemon overall still feels the same as a normal one. its so similar that from a afar you wont be able to differentiate them

I was expecting something so cool and instead we got longer Dunsparce. I love Dunsparce but I was expecting something other than bigger Dunsparce you know? Dunseraph spoiled me I guess.

Tidbit. You dont "need" the upgrades with enough exploring. And the titans have fixed upgrades to each of them though i won't say what is what.

Your pokemon when you sent them out to fight the flletcling didn't kill them because one of them was shiny. Your pokemon won't kill the pokemon if they target a shiny.

Yes, don't bother too much with what ball you will use, they all are the same. It legit makes no difference. You play pokemon, if it's not 100% rate it's 50% no matter what you're doing. Also both mega and giga drain, drain 50% of the damage dealt as hp heal while draining kiss drains 75%
