Yesss, thank you for doing this mix!! I feel like the Terastal theme works well when you're actually playing the game as it contributes excitement to the fight as a participant, but for casual listening it feels a lot more jarring. Having this is much better than clicking back to start the song from the top every time!

@@billybobjoe4847 because people liked it in the previous game and liked it in SV too? the reason for this version without it is for casual listening where there isn't an actual battle so the terastal phase is out of place and jarring

@@123silverslash If only they considered the difference in setting honestly. The singing in Swsh makes sense in a filled sports arena, compared to the 5 people that are watching the battle in SV

Gotta say, last gen's battle themes got me pumped but no gen had me dancing as much as this one did. Like DAMN so many jazzy tracks this gen and this one takes the cake by far.

Yeah- anyone that says this generation is garbage is a god dang liar. Like, it has a lot of optimization problems for sure, but when you get past those, you find that this is one of the best modern generations. At least way better than the mediocre Sword and Shield.

@@cosmictraveler1146 that’s because so many battle themes have been using purely synthetic instrumentation for the past several generations. I applaud that Pokemon is starting to lean towards more orchestral and big band pieces, even though they need to do far more. This is the biggest franchise in the world of entertainment, yet they can’t be bothered to get a full orchestra for at least most of their tracks like their biggest competitors from many Square Enix franchises or even other Nintendo franchises (I say Nintendo even though Pokemon is technically second party).

Very nice and clean extend I also very much apprechiate that the quiter part last much longer than in game It's always a shame to have that part cut of by the terestal theme wothout properly enjoying it first

Thanks! I was so upset when I chose the leader theme in a wifi battle ingame, why is this theme ending so fast and that singing begins literally at the start of the battle? Thank god we have this version now

It’s just sort of unbelievable too - chanting isn’t singing, it’s shouting. Not everyone in the crowd is gonna hit that insane high note GameFreak haha! What were they thinking. This theme is way better

Imo SwShs worked due to the sports setting but here it just kinda ruins the "fight club" vibe GF was going for with smaller arenas and crowds watching imo

I'm not sure how I feel about this song. It feels kinda... de-fanged, y'know? Time was, gym battles were intimidating, or at least they were supposed to be. The wild battle theme from generation 1 had more bite to it than this generation's gym battle theme.
