Chilling Reign is the set that got me back into the hobby and I had my best pulls in it. Blaziken alt, Zapdos alt, gold Snorlax. Super underrated set

Living in Japan since 2016, and Im still mad that they took Pokémon cards from our convenience stores and outlet stores. Used to be able to walk to the register and grab as many as you wanted for about 200yen a pack. Way before everyone just wanted money….

If you have money and you’re looking to spend a bit more, I recommend you buy a box of Team Up. That set is going to keep climbing and will end up being one of the top products from SM. Reason: it was short printed, and it contains the single most expensive pull from the past two eras… Latias & Latios gx tag team alt art.

Shiny Star V is much older so I didn't feel it was relevant since it's long out of stock. It's great as well but I think the set has a little bit less to offer than VMAX & VStar

you gotta build a relationship with your local walmart and find out when they stock cards. your only chance will be getting there as they stock or shortly after

@@Kcpvvy15 It’s extremely difficult, especially with how much I work. I know it’s gotta be either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. I checked Thursday and Friday back to back around 4:30 pm. Only difference is there was nothing Thursday and only 2 premium collection boxes on Friday. I check around 8am and there was nothing too. It’s hard because I ask if any associate knows when the vendor comes and they don’t know. I wish one could say, “oh yeah mainly this day” or “around this time” because that would narrow it down. I miss it when they locked them up by the electronics.

Yeah now is a hard time to get Japanese. Plus you don’t know if the box was tampered with. Just make sure you buy from a trustworthy source. I was getting Japanese from about the Pokémon go era when Japanese was cheaper than English. I’ve stopped since vstar since prices are insane and they mess with resealing sometimes

🙄 you paranoid people are so confusing. What are you worried about? As a buyer, you have extremely strong protections on ebay, Amazon, and Walmart, there's ZERO risk you'll get scammed out of your money if a seller sends tampered or counterfeit product.

For collection purposes only, every set is worth picking up, but expecting the value to go up in the future is a very wrong mindset to have. Current modern cards are acting as if supply and demand never matter, but eventually they will do. In 10 - 20 years, we'll realize how over supplied current modern cards are.

all PC etbs have restocked 4-5 times. you just gotta be there as it restocks. it will 100% restock on release day if not before

For celebrations, only certain items were worth keeping sealed, such as etbs and the upc.

I kinda disagree with you on celebrations. Its not about the set, its about the anniversary and the main 3 evolved starters. In 5 years this will just appreciate in price. Just as it did already. Agree on battle and reign

I bought my Vmax Climax cases for $45/BB.... people were dumping sealed cases for $900 easy about a year ago. The only sealed prducts from SwSh I think will go way up are Evolving Skies, Crown Zenith, Vmax Climax, and the Gamestop exclusive metal arceus card box because we'll get tons of metal cards in the future and they made 15x more celebration UPC's than Arceus ones. That discrepancy will make arceus metal cards the most difficult to obtain after a dozen or so metal cards exist. I think all of the other sets will slowly go up over time, but not accelerate. With the speed Pokemon pumps out sets now, only iconic sets will be worth storing/holding. The rest will just kind of fade from memory.
