I dont believe the Pikachu 238/191 will dip a lot in price. It may go down $30-$60 but I dont see it staying low for long. It will reach over $1000 raw. that card is very unique and with how hard it is to pull. It will continue to go up.

I pulled the Pikachu Ex SL in 4 booster boxes only. The next reprint is going to be very limited, and when they do, the reprint boxes are going to cost more at distro ends. When the reprint happens, distros are most likely to sell it at 140 a box so prices in stores will be a lot higher.

No one knows what the next “restock” or “reprint “ is gonna be like yet distro may pump price a bit but I doubt it will be that high. It will ruin to many relationships and it’s not worth it for them.

Honestly the gold pikachu was my chase before the Japanese set dropped when we got the first look . I feel like with this crazy fomo prices will climb and at the 5 month mark it will drop

I'm very weary on what is going on with this set. i want to do this set like all the others, but I'm not going to give in to all this hype. I'll just have to wait and see how it all pans out. i can be patient. so I'll just wait till the dust settles. only 1 week out, its hard to say what's really going to happen.

I always think of pokemon cards as a piece of artwork that you can buy. For me, the Pikachu look at max $150-200. I can't say about the texture (which may help the card value alot) since I don't have it but the hype real pulling its value up fr.

Yeah, but that’s a different monster because it’s a special set so allocations are always usually pretty tough on those. This is a main set, which is crazy for this kind of activity

“Off-center doesn’t go against the card”. Yes, it definitely can. A very off-centered card can get a PSA 8 or lower

Psa is still “near mint” look at a psa 8 slab and see what it says. Literally says “NM” on the slab. On tcg player it does not count against the quality of the card. Such as saying LP or MP. If a card is way off center but no whitening. Or dings or issues. You bet your tush it’s still considered near mint 🤷

@ well by that logic, you can say an off-center card can lower the quality from gem mint to NM, changing the “official title” of the quality. Bottom line: a bad centering definitely changes the quality of the card. Also, it actually could go LOWER than nm if it’s bad enough. What you’re saying is not always correct despite TCGplayer getting away with a nm label of a non-nm card

The hit rates are so terrible. Why is anyone opening booster boxes when you are not guaranteed an SIR. You could open a BB case and not hit an SIR if you are unlucky. I would rather buy 6 booster bundles or sleeved booster packs cause you could literally hit an SIR in each item if you are extremely lucky but you will never hit more then 1 SIR in a Booster box.

I picked up a lost orgin booster box and surging sparks booster box today to go with my evolving skies booster box. I already had a booster box of surging sparks i picked up for 115$ about a week ago i was holding onto, so i decided to oepn that box. Best card i got was the Alolan Exeggutor. I was for sure happy with the rest of the pulls aswell but now its killing me to open or not open the other surging sparks box.
