The best part of Gen 8 was easily the competitive scene. Legitimately one of the most balanced and well made mix of Pokémon, mechanics, etc. Gen 9's isn't terrible, but just doesn't feel as fun or varied.

Fun fact there was so much hate for SWSH that Crema used to promote Temtem claiming it’s better than a triple a game. Even though they can’t make a climatic boss fight

Love this, only thing I wish got a bigger look is the customisation. It's the best its ever been in a Pokémon game. It seems like S/V is going backwards in this regard too

Yeah the customisation in Sw/Sh is fantasitc. Really hope it stays good for S/V

I am hopeful that the way GF handled dexit with updates to dex in the DLC, will suggest that they will handle future Pokémon games similarly. If 75%+ of the complete dex is in anyone mainline Pokémon games in the future, I'll be able to live with it.

I think Dexit is here to stay. Legends Arceus didn't have them all in and it's looking like Scarlet and Violet have a cut Dex too

Well the leaks for Scarlet/Violet are looking like it has between 400-500 pokemon in it, so over half the dex is cut again if thats true

I loved SW/SH! I hope we have no more dexit in the future. At least maybe we keep them in and catch them post game! Fantastic Video, I’m excited for Scarlet + Violet!! Let’s not have any more Humanoid Pokémon! “Missed opportunity” was a nice segue, I guess you could say that you took the opportunity 😏 Can’t wait for the next one mate ❤️

So SwSh are good just if you pay extra for the DLC that fixes the issues that shouldn't have happened in the first place

Well these days you can buy them both together in a bundle for the same price as the normal game. That's no different to every other pokemon game though. Infact it's cheaper. Normally you'd spend the money on the game, then have to spend the same price again for the 3rd version/sequel to get all the changes and fixes. This is a lot cheaper than buying two games

Even though the pokedex cut isn't all the rage right now there are still 63 pokemon cut which includes the original unova and kalos starters. which are some of my favorite pokemon. I will continue to wait for those pokemon to be allowed in the switch era of pokemon.

Yeah I miss some that aren't in. Even though it's in PL:A, I'd love a Stantler for my Shield game

I genuinely enjoy gen 8. But the glimwood tangle is probly singlehandedly the most dissapointing thing in the pokemon series.

The town it led to was amazing too! I can't quite remember its name. It's a shame it was such a small forest. It had so much potential. Would have been the perfect place to hide a legendary if there was a trio

Sw/sh are my least favorite tied with red/blue. I really hope violet and Scarlett will do better.

That's fair enough we all have our own opinions! I liked the games and enjoyed my time with them but I think everyone wants S/V to be an improvement!
