D/P is an especially nostalgic game to me. It was the first pokemon game I was able to play legally. I remember the route 209 music, it's the song that stuck with me the most as I played the game, as in, I remember choosing to walk along these routes rather than bike because I wanted to hear this beautiful tune. When I went to see Symphonic Evolutions last July I hoped so much that they would play the music from route 209 during the Sinnoh portion, and when they started up this song, the smile on my face grew wider and wider. I couldn't believe how happy I was, and how beautiful this incarnation of the route music had been. I'm not really an auditory person/learner, so a lot of the symphony, while beautiful, couldn't ring up too much nostalgia (it didn't help that I more often than not played without music because it was during school) but Sinnoh music stuck with me, it was beautiful, unique, and memorable, and it was beyond wonderful to have these melodies return in the Symphony.

everything you just said was also true about me. the only difference is that i was 3 when it came out and it was the very first video game i have ever played. i also went to that symphony and every time i play daimond to revisit my life long friends, it really warms my heart. my favorite tune was 201 because that is what started it all.
