In the U.S. if I got a mystery of anything card related, they would all be either covered in what feels like dirt from a lack of care, falling apart, faded, or the cover just tearing off slowly. Japan has such a great practice for keeping their cards and I think it's a cultural thing. Japanese people tend to not be careless with what they buy and keep.
