Here's an explanation if you wanna know the context. So basically. This is an alternative universe where May. Failed to stop Team Aqua. And they have unleashed Kyogre. A whale-like Pokemon that basically controls the oceans. And by Team Aqua unleashing it. It has flooded the whole Pokemon world. Even all of the Regions too. Like Johto, Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, probably all of the regions. As May was falling through the oceans, Roselia used Ingrained. Just to save her trainer. To probably try to stop Kyogre. But it made a fate, worser than death.

Additional explanation. Ingrained is a move that prevents escape and heals the user, so may is trapped on the ocean floor rooted to the ground unable to escape and constantly on the brink of death from drowning only to be healed back. What was ment to be a mercy has become her torture. If I had ti guess I'd say her singing is probably supposed to be her trying to get bf's attention and escape the ingrained so she can either be free or probably just finally die

just to clarify any confusion here: basically team aqua succeeded in making more water on the planet, but they went too far, drowning the entire planet, leaving mays Pokemon to drown, except 1, and said Pokemon used ingrain, dragging them both to the ocean depths, leaving them trapped forever, may and her rosalie can't escape or die, so they're literally stuck there.(im probably wrong here,but dont attack me😭😭😭😭)
