If you try to raise a 6 member team in this game even when battling every trainer in the game I'm at victory road and my strongest pokemon is still out leveled by 4 and everyone else by like 7 and 8.

Ok, so do I have this right? I'm trying to dupe Candies and it's not working. 1. I link Cheat Engine to the game 2. I put in 4*2+1 as the value (I have 4 rare candies) 3. I click First Scan 4. I toss 1 Candy from my bag 5. I change the value to 3*2+1 6. I click Next Scan At that point, should I have the address? The problem being, it shows me no addresses at all.

I did the item dup cheat with 2 rare candies yet still had a big list when I tossed one how can I tell which is the rare candy?

You need to have a way to keep scanning the updated value. It’s tricky when you have only 1 or 2 of the item. In your case, I’d try to move around and use other items and stuff and then scan for unchanged value (since your rare candy county didn’t change) and that should filter some results out

hey, is there any method for the speedup to activate automatically once i start the game,? I'm soft resetting for a shiny in pokemon xenoverse and i have to open the process and enable speedup each time I reset the game.

I usually dont like to cheat, but im stuck :/ im in a spot where theres a fight i need to beat to continue, but im underleveled, by a lot, and having only beat the previous fight with copious amounts of revive abuse. Now, im out of revives and i cant cheese this fight to escape and get to somewhere that actually has pokemon with good XP drops. So besides cheating, i have to level up 6 pokemon from level 30 ish to level 38-40 on pokemon that give me 60-100 XP a pokemon.... extreme pain.

One problem... you didnt tell us how to get the *2+1 so we have no road map to that conclusion.. Whats happening is its like fishing .. if your teaching us how feed our self by fishing and you keep giving us fish will never know how to fish if you miss parts, like put the worm on the hook first... You did all the work for the game.. Hope that helps for later videos...

Good point. I had made another video for Pokémon insurgence which is really similar. I didn’t know what the calculation was when I started that video and I basically ended up finding it by scanning for an unknown value and drilling down to find the address. I didn’t get it at first but after playing with values (and a few crashes later) I realized I had to use odd numbers in multiples of 2 (1, 3, 5, 7 instead of 0, 1, 2, 3) which worked out to bring x*2+1. It turns out Pokémon uranium uses the same formula. I think they’re built on the same engine.

@@lanksterprice these fan games are usually made with rpg maker. i recently watched a cheat engine tutorial from 6 years ago and they also used the x*2+1 formula with no explanation, so i'm assuming it's just how the game engine is coded? 🤔

It’s hard to do if you have just 1 of an item. You’d have to scan for the value of 3 and then pick from the big list you get since you can’t change it up or down to rescan. If you store the item somewhere, it doesn’t just change the value to 0, it removes it from memory so it’s gone. I’d say your best bet is to wait until you can get a second rare candy

No man you won’t be able to hack gems or anything on that kind of game. it doesn’t work with online games because the game’s data is usually stored on the game server, not on your local computer. This means that even if you change something using Cheat Engine, it won’t affect the actual game on the server.

It’s a little tricky sometimes. Make sure the game and cheat engine are both run as admin. Also the speedhack has a sweet spot for where it works (too high or too low won’t work)
