When I was in 3rd grade, I was walking home from school (I lived at a trailer park town at the time) & saw a Ruby cartridge in the sand. I picked it up & it was saved at the Elite Four. I showed it to an older kid who sold ice cream in the neighborhood. He played it first & lost, then I played it without having ever played Pokemon before, not healing or even knowing how to play. I ended up beating Steven, & that means the first time I ever played Pokemon I became champion. I've been a fan of Pokemon ever since.

My first Pokemon game was Ruby. Truth was I didn't know much about Pokemon games when I first started playing Ruby version. I also didn't know what Shiny Pokemon was back then. I had hard time finding certain locations. I remember my first starter was Torchic and I love Altaria, happy that it got Mega Evolution. Looking back sure brings back good old memories, first Pokemon game that I completed the National Dex was Alpha Sapphire. Such great memories. I grew up with Sapphire. When i was 6, my parents bought me a GBA-SP at a garage sale. With it came pokémon sapphire. I played it...probably countless times. I accidentally left it at a friends house once, and forgot to get it back. He moved, and it got lost. I was 9. Then, in 2017, for my 14th birthday, my parents bought me Alpha Sapphire. Replaying oras right now, I've got so much love so these games, I honestly see them as the best games they have managed to make so far. So many improvements and it was the game that got me into competitive, really recaptured the feeling of the originals games. I might be in the minority here but I miss megas, the fact that the stats and abilities changed would often keep you guessing when playing other people created a really interesting battle dynamic tho I admit some where just too op.
