Honestly, I find the general Pokemon fanbase kind of sad. Wanting to beat 7* raids, the most challenging postgame content in the game and only live-update content worth returning to the game for, without taking the time to prep new sets, or simply looking up solutions...
"Oh this youtuber is recommending a LV100 Dondozo with max HP and DEF to beat Inceneroar. Where could I find one of those?", "I’m going to try with annihilape and if I can’t I’ll make a malamar"...
Raids are fixed and you can prepare per-raid, the fun is in coming up with new clever counters! Making a single Iron Hands and Azumarill and Annihilape, and then brute-forcing (and failing) to clear with any of them and then complaining... iunno, it's just sad to me.
So fine. Here are Annihilape and Iron Hands clears.
0:00 - Annihilape
It's dark-neutral until it terastallizes but is pretty bulky by default, and gets Focus Energy so you can ignore the defense buffs (with Razor Claw). You definitely can't survive a neutral +6 Atk Darkest Lariat so you want to terastallize as early as possible, but you also want to buff yourself... yet your best buff is Bulk Up which is quite slow.
Thankfully, Annihilape gets Taunt! Just maintain that until you're all buffed up and terastallized and you should be fine.
7:42 - Iron Hands
It resists dark and is even bulkier, but unfortunately does not have Taunt, and furthermore it's so slow that even a Brave Incineroar outspeeds you. Thankfully you're only barely outsped, so you only need 20 Spe EVs to outspeed it instead, which is what I did here (hence a 236 Atk/252 Def/20 Spe spread).
Iron Defense on the first turn to halve a turn-1 Flare Blitz (assuming it doesn't Bulk Up), then that plus the defense cheer should allow you to Belly Drum next turn and survive, and then you heal up with Drain Punch while its defense hopefully isn't maxed yet; then Focus Energy, Iron Defense again if possible, and then start spamming Drain Punch until you win.
Iron Hands' bulk is just on the cusp of being able to survive two +6 Atk Darkest Lariat. A 4 HP/252 Def neutral Iron Hands takes 50.2% to 59.1% from it, so a 1/8-chance double-Darkest Lariat is a run-ender, and sadly you have to drop your Atk-boosting nature to guarantee you survive two. For this run I just stayed Adamant and gambled (though Intimidate allies help, since it might not be +6 Atk), but wanting to play it safe does lead to a pretty funky minmaxed EV spread: Impish, 152 HP/84 Atk/252 Def/20 Spe, just enough to turn a +6 Atk Darkest Lariat into a 42.2% to 49.8% damage spread.
Okay, definitely enough Incineroar for me.
