Guard Swap doesn't give the opponent your defensive stats, it only trades stat *stages*, so it only matters if you (or your opponent) have +/- to your defensive stats.

I did this as a modified nuzlocke in pokemon emerald once, where everything had metronome and instead of losing when you wiped you had to refill on pokemon you could catch from adjacent areas and try again. The goal was to beat the elite four before you ran out of box space. It was extremely funny.

Unlike Speed Swap, Guard Swap switches stat changes to Def and SpDef, not the stats themselves. So unless Blissey and/or Glimmora had boosted or lowered Def or SpDef, the move did nothing.

I'm pretty sure there's a couple moves that Metronome can't use, but correct me if I'm wrong-

Apparently there's a bunch, including several signature moves. Especially a bunch of gen 9 signature moves (which range from regular 'mons signature moves (though strangely not Bitter Blade, that can be rolled even though Armour Cannon cannot), all the way up to Collision Course, Electro Drift, Ruination and Tera Starstorm, all signature moves of legendaries. Though as we saw in the video, the paradox legendaries' signature moves can be rolled, as can the peach's. So can Ivy Cudgel, apparently, though I don't know how that would work if called by Metronome, as that move's full functionality is directly tied to Ogerpon and the masks)
