The reason why we have 6 Pokemons in a team and only 5 Pals, is because the Pal player themselves is the final member. Even when they beat 5 pals, they still have to deal with rocket launcher and a player that has dodging skill of a dark souls player lol

Palworld has a lot of Dark Souls vibes when you have to defeat the tower bosses for the second time, they don't stop attacking, they move very fast and have more life and defense, I'm at my maximum level, with many perfectly raised Pals and I can still die 4 or 5 hits.

I absolutely ADORE the details in the Anubis and Lucario fight! Lucario seems to be using some form of Kickboxing stance for most of his moves and he's constantly keeping an arm near his head as part of his quick jabs. Anubis meanwhile is mixing in open palm strikes with his punches and uses several sweeping kicks throughout. He also tries to redirect some of Lucario's punches instead of outright blocking them and, when Lucario breaks their stalemate with his kicks, he tries to recover by performing another kick that's utilising the added momentum from him reeling due to the aforementioned strikes. I don't know exactly what hsi fighting style is based off but it's hella cool! The amount of detail with those two is absolutely incredible! I also get the feeling that they'd be on friendly terms if it weren't for their trainers.

Pretty spot on, I made Lucario do kickboxing/ Muay Thai as its the martial art I practiced for a few years (with a few extra flashy moves thrown in for good measure). Anubis was sort of inspired by wing chun mixed with taekwondo kicks. I never seriously practiced either, but i was watching Ip man at the time and it looked cool so I kind of just used inspiration from that and made it up in response to Lucario's attacks :p

When compared directly like this, it really does showcase the intended audience differences. Pokemon is a kid friendly game while PalWorld is Pokemon without the age restriction. Because in reality, Pokemon is fighting for sport which has rules, while PalWorld is fighitng for survival and all is fair there.

So, I know this vid is basically to show the differences and similarities between the two , mostly the differences, especially how the trainers and tamers treat their companions as a joke, but I actually need to bring this up. I am actually too attached to my Pals. I never got the butcher's knife, I never used the podium, I think that's what it is, to make my Pals work more, I go out of my way to ensure they have good meals other than just berries or the bare basics. I do use the condenser for the essence and I do breed a lot, but I never chuck the parents in or use the children for the essence. Yes, this means I intentionally make myself suffer to get a high rank Pal, but despite it being a game, it affects me like Undertale does. In fact, the worse thing I do is put certain pals on the fabricators just to speed up the crafting and even then I let them go back to whatever they were doing before. I also do put any Excess pals in the observation pens or whatever they're called, but those are mostly any humans I catch and everyone knows humans don't matter in Palworld.😁

Dragonair obliterate a city in the manga. Rockets won't do nothing. People that thing that a gun could kill even a rattata don't know how wild Nintendo marked games are.

It's ridiculous to think that pokemon are constantly at that level of power, because it sure as hell doesn't look like it in the games. They have to wait their turn, level advantage matters more than the pokemon itself, most battles are in arenas or in the wild, with very few pokemon actually causing a huge amount of harm to the environment. Even the worst encounters end with you blacking out and all your pokemon incapacitated. Your pokemon can survive getting smitten by fucking God if they have a focus sash. Any single non-steel pokemon will die in 5 turns or so if hit by toxic. There are literally oneshot moves that will instakill as long as you're higher level than your opponent. Turn based mechanics result in hilarious exploits to the point where people will obviously joke that shooting the trainer with a gun before they can even send out their pokemon to do anything would be more effective. And they're goddamn right. It takes precisely 1 9mm bullet to the face to end any trainer's career. Further proof of this? in BW2 you literally win the battles against Ghetsis but he just threatens to murder you and you're still in trouble. In USUM you are literally forced to stand down despite winning the pokemon battle with Ghetsis, because he threatened to kill Lillie, presumably with some sort of deadly weapon that the game didn't show for ESRB rating reasons. You probably had a team of legendaries by this point, and there is nothing you can do until Colress betrays him and sends him to the shadow realm. Not all pokemon are gods. Only the legendaries can really be called that, and palworld technically already has legendaries that are similar, despite being in early access. Frostallion froze the entire region in the past, and palpagos is already larger than Hoenn. That's a feat as great if not greater than Groudon and Kyogre's. And in the game, to catch it you actually have to worry more about *fighting* it and not *accidentally killing it with a crit.* So far, everything in palworld gameplay makes your player character seem more competent in there than in pokemon, and trying to compare the confusing and contradictory lore of pokemon to the incomplete lore of palworld due to it being in early access, and going "haha see? the series with 9 generations of pokemon games and 20 years of anime involving a perpetually 10-year-old child happens to have lore of more powerful characters somewhere in the series than the 5 month old early access game" is just stupid.
