Ash is programmed to be a risk-taker. He'll raise, bet, and/or go all-in if he's being cocky. The only time he'll fold is if he gets a bad hand or someone raises the pot & such. The only time you'll go one-on-one with Ash is if he manages to keep himself in by folding and other tactics.

@@Awesoman9001 Yep, each of the characters has thier own personalities and way of playing. Claptrap is both dumb and a wuss, so he'll either very quickly fold or very quickly bet too much. Ash Williams is impulsive so he'll take a lot of risks, like Xeno said. Sam is too honest for his own good, so his tells are really easy to notice for bluffs and bad hands. Brocks probably the toughest player, since he's most well rounded of the four.

@@donjezza10 Not only that, but I remember reading that there's specific strategies that you have to employ when playing against these characters, such as staying out of Brock and Ash's way if they get into a bidding war (otherwise, you're gonna get hurt bad unless you have the best hand possible), or how it's best to eliminate Sam early, because he can be difficult to beat when he's one of the last two/three players left.

So I think the player ingame is probably wearing an outfit/has a design that might look masculine but isn't clearly stated. Like a Samus suit. Plus -it's Max. Max is...Max. Both he and Sam don't really have a specified sexual identity. The creator was very keen on that fact.

There's probably many times where he loses that we don't get to see, and since your net gain on a win is 4 times as much as your net loss on a defeat, it's probably safe to say he loses *a lot.*

Brock plays Aggressively with high bets. However he doesn't usually bluff. That is Ash's thing. Claptrap's AI is randomized, so he is the most unpredictable when it comes to play... However this randomness usually means he's out first due to him making bad plays with good cards or vice versa.
