Fantastic job Michael! As someone that is new to solver work, it is really nice to see someone breakdown a hand in this detail and also derive some interesting takeaways from the analysis.

Great video, truly. When building a decision tree, any suggestions, guidelines that we'd do well to follow to ensure our inputs are on point for a given sim? Thanks again for the terrific work.

That varies a ton tbh. I'd recommend just testing a bunch of different inputs to see how that changes the outputs. Your intuition for the right sim inputs depending on the test you want to run will develop with practice.

what was your targert Dev here. I think i applied ranges and bet sizes the same but got a different outcome. Bet big 66.7%, bet small 5% and check 28%. My target Dev was .3%

I probably solved to 0.5% or 1%. That shouldn’t have a significant impact on strategic frequencies though. I did run the situation through the solver multiple times with different inputs to account for assumptions for both players though. So unless you have the same exact inputs, it doesn’t surprise me that you’d have different outputs.

Great job. However, when you are hiding in the bathroom to do your recordings, be sure to turn off the fan! Very loud.

Lol I realized that as I was listening to playback and was too lazy to re-record.
