100%. I was a decent low stake player, win some lose some probably average winning enough to buy lunch and gas money to the casino. I bought the poker coaching package a year long and studdied about 30-60 minutes per day for 6 months and now I win anywhere from 600-1200$ in a 6 hour session at the 1/2 or 2/5 games live. Very rarely leave in the negative maybe 10% of sessions will lose or be around break even mark and I have a 2 buy in rule if I lose second buy in I go home

I'll be honest, I was watching and studying little over a yr ago and it did improve my game. Won many low $100 $200 buy In tournaments. And many cashing. Will I stopped and found myself getting killed at a local card club while at the time playing 2/5 and bank roll went down fast. I know I was better then most players at the card clubs, but was still losing. Jonathan Ty so much what you do. It helps me out huge.

I think my common mistake in live cash is I raise in early position, people call very wide, and I end up a bit handcuffed by going multi way and need to give up

Raise a bit bigger next time and soon you'll find that sweetspot amount where only one or two player maximum call...if 3 or more players are calling you preflop, your raise size is simply too small.

@@5starUBERabba thanks for the feedback, I agree. Its funny, even in a 1/3 game I'll open to 20 and still often get 3-4 callers, even with a good table image. I guess this means I'm in a good game, raise raise raise those strong hands

@@spencerlee3201 yes good game, from a theory standpoint - they are putting in too much money with weak hands if they are constantly calling to bigger bets. If your range has sufficiently tighted up to be able to open larger - then even when you see flops and have to fold turn or something, you're still printing vs these players in the long run

Yeh, I used to have this problem quite often. Honestly if they are calling that wide just play super NIT they don’t even pay attention. Then just take advantage of position and make sure your seated correctly at the table , move if needed without making it obvious .

Another tip I use often is squeezing vs preflop raiser with multiple callers. In these spots I usually make the raise really big with a polarized range that includes some blockers, like and ace or a king. So if UTG1 raises 3BB then say 3 players before me just call, then I’ll make it 6X-8X the initial raise IP and 8X-10X OOP. Usually if I get through the initial raiser then the pot is mine. I’ll do this with big off suit aces AQ and AJ and low suited aces A2-A5 and KQ suited and off suit. Of course I’m naturally also raising with AA-JJ plus AK and AQs. I’ve found this play works very well in live cash games in Texas.

Great Video Jonathan. I picked up my game on triple barreling all the way and its truly improved my game. These guys will call with 3-4 outs all the way to the river. Played a 140 man PKO Tournament online three nights ago and won it. Got 3rd last night ! Your content has truly helped my game so much. There were leaks I had, that I didnt even know. As someone who plays micro stakes, is there any good places to get GTO charts. I’ve found websites with charts but I do not want to spend the $200 a year for a solver when I’m playing for less than $400 or $500 a year. (I don’t want to do monthly subscriptions as I have university and can not be certain I will have time to study poker when I’m studying for my degree.

I took 22 out of 6250 players 1 million tournament, I usually play 2/5 sometimes 5/10 and 5/10 /25 half the time I feel like I'm the donkey, my biggest problem is I hate losing; tilt is my biggest weakness, it's like the devil that won't get off my shoulder, 1 thing I do know is I'm going to make it

As far as the 3 betting polarized IP. Is it a major factor with the suited connectors that it is a lot easier to realize equity IP? I would think that if OOP calls 3 bet, when you 3 bet a suited connector IP you may be able to see a 4 card flop.

@@davidoberry5309 I am asking if we should prioritize being last to act on each street because we can realize our equity a lot easier than first to act. 3 betting a polarized range means that we use a larger 3 bet sizing and our range is split between value and air. Like BB 3 bets polarized against SB and BTN opens. SB 3 bet or fold strategies are linear meaning from the top down and are value heavy. When you are in position on any flop, if the out of position player checks, you can check back in position and basically see a 4 card flop.

They lose money at all spots probably but it all starts preflop then can make multiple mistakes from there so just don’t make the first one and call a raise oop with A9 suited or whatever.

I think the actual theme for this video is considering ranges insofar as it relates to your preflop action. I especially appreciated your point about being more speculative but then also being willing to consider the range of someone 3-betting you (i.e., why they'd raise you in the first place). It sounds like you are advocating for somewhat more speculative hands in LJ-type places but then also being willing to put them down if need be.

People play so poorly post in the games I play in I bet I would give up at least half my win rate playing this tight. Also limping is perfectly fine in these games where people are going to light entire stacks on fire post.
