What bet size do YOU think Ioli would have called on the river? 🤔

If there was a time for the move of: tank… sigh… sigh… oh well I am all in (as a bluff). This would be it!

I must be a total rec player because I'd snap call the $2M bet. When you play rec level players they always make a huge bet when it's 99% chance of a chop to see if you're stupid enough to not realize it's a chop on the board.

Happens all the time in microstakes cash. In ioli’s position I like to jam turn, hoping to river the Spade.

I guess 2 millions based on the fact there is a video with this title. I'd personally just checked and split the pot tho.

Assuming that Loli did not have a read on David, the chances of David having the 6 is about 17.2%. David had about $1.72 million left in his stack. If Loli called the bet, the expected value he would gain over folding would be about $70,000. If there no chance of the raise pushing David out of the pot, the expected value would be a loss of about $225,000 over folding. If there was at least a 14.3% chance of getting David to fold, raising would have been the best option. If there was less than a 14.3% chance of getting David to fold, calling would have been the best option.

I'm guessing check back, more for tournament reasons than hand reasons.

One of my most painful losses in a tournament for me was 4 handed, final table, straight on the board. I bet 1/2 pot to try and get off a chop. Opponent shoves all in for 3x pot. I tank and call thinking he was doing the same thing. He shows me the nut straight. Im out in 4th. Just didn't think he had it. lol It sucks to be in that spot.

Was it a huge mistake to check on the river there? You know you have to fold to a large bet, so perhaps just bet 1/3 or 1/2 pot to look like a value bet and invoke a call, but not get blown out by the follow-up all-in?

Was my first thought as well. However, the interesting question is how many of his 6x hands would actually be inclined to take the check-call big bet line on the Turn? Probably 65 and A6 !? - Overall, I might intuitively be more willing to bet with Ax, no spades, than with T5ss, the latter blocking loads of hands that could fold to a bet.

He should never bet river because Peters has so much more 6x than he does. Ioli would either continue bluffing his 6x on the turn or check-fold (unless he had a specific combo draw) to the big bet. And fwiw, 1/3 pot bet would be atrocious on this board, and any competent player would snap raise lol. In fact, any bet less than 1.5x pot would be pretty bad on this runout. Peters played it very well.

Well I'm going with a 2 million chip bet in hopes he will fold a chop. Putting me on A6 os/ or suited On line people try and bluff a lot notes are so important.

Why not shove risk 4 million to win 3 million instead of calling risking 2,000,000 to win 500,000?
