I think this vid is phenomenal. I´m voting for more videos like this maybe with focus on having an eye on the underlying concepts even a bit more.

We're glad you enjoyed this video so much, Robert! Pokercode members have full access to our Discord server, where Steffen did a #followsteffen series where he broke down his cash game sessions and reviewed his most interesting hands. Mind blowing stuff 🤯 this guy is, totally, on another stratosphere… Think I’ll just stick to my 2/5 game at my local poker room! I’d literally just pick up my chips with my tail between my legs if he ever sits at my table…

Thanks for the lessons and content Steffen! If you don't mind answering a question: I have switched from MTT to cash, recently. It seems like in the 50NL blitz pool, I'm rarely finding bluffs from my opponents. It seems to always be top of range post and AA pre when the money gets in. Should I be playing a lot tighter vs the pool? Sorry for the lack of context. Thank you!
@Gosecore2 жыл бұрын
At pokercode I use the words "Action Game" and "Reaction Game" to describe certain concepts. that fits very well here. In Reaction game you need to tighten up quite a lot(you react to nitty villains). in Action Game you actually want to be extraloose though!

@@Gosecore ahh thank you. Simple but I believe will be an easy to apply concept. I really appreciate the response Steffen!

4:06 if you do not see him having a better hand there, can you just jam your ako and hoping to fold out his equity or make him call off with 35% equity?
@Gosecore2 жыл бұрын
well, I don't know his hand, so there is some room for mistakes on my side. If my read is stronger a Jam would definetely make sense

Interesting hands...how come u were only 20bb deep or 60bb and not 100?Is that something u wanted to do at these higher stakes or is there no auto rebuy on whichever site these hands were played on? Anyways nice vid!
@Gosecore2 жыл бұрын
Because other people are playing short. If everyone plays deep and one guy plays a shortstack the shortstacked guy has an advantage! (Imagine BU jams 10bb and you are in the SB with 100bb. You would like to make a marginal +EV call but unfortunately BB is sitting behind with 100bb as well)

on the second hand BvB with AK, why you say you dont see the pockey 44 and the QK ? i think both are in his range, im saying this before see the results.
@Gosecore2 жыл бұрын
I think those hands are in villains range before the turn-minraise. My millions of hands experience tell me there that those hands are just not choosing this type of minraise there in this spot, so I completely discount them. Obviously there is room for mistake by my side, but if I have never seen someone in my career it's likely it's not gonna happen now;)

I play MTTs only so I dont know the cashgame ranges, but the AdQs looks like a "megamaster" play for me(getting called by worse/folding out better). I think we can get called by nutflushdraws, QJ, combodraws with Qx and fold out a lot of 6x/Tx depends on size etc. Obv I also see the merit from checking. But was little surprised by your "almost never". KTs was also interesting. In MTTs its a pure call, but dont have a clue in cashgame :). Btw I think you have one of the best pokerminds I have ever heard!
@Gosecore2 жыл бұрын
yeah, it is absolutely an option. But you are quickly overdoing it while bluffing AQ gives up looots of SD value (think of the mentioned weaker Ax). For your play something like a low Ax seems to be perfect. still getting called by worse while having way less SDV and benefiting from folding out dominating hands. KTs I actually dont know which hand you are refering to. Just scrolled through again and didn't find it:D Thx for the kind words Mohamed!

No point in betting against AJ when you have AK? How about for value?
@Gosecore2 жыл бұрын
I need him to call to have value. It would be folding out a hand that has 6% equity which is somewhat likely to invest more money on card that I will hit
