Exactly! It genuinely makes me less and less interested in the hobby as time goes on. Maybe if more and more of us just refuse to buy from resellers then maybe one day Pokemon will go back to normal. That or it’ll go back to normal when all of us actual collectors get fed up and drop the hobby

At this point it seems cheaper just to buy the card you want, since the top prices didn’t seem to crazy compared to the cards in say, Evolving Skies. I have no idea why the packs are so expensive with only one card being 150 dollars in the set and the rest being 49-10.

That's the difference between sealed product and un sealed product. Anything that is sealed will always have a higher price even if what's inside is worth less

I pulled the shiny charizard 5 years ago when the set came out of one of the tins first try. I did not really like Pokemon cards at the time but that set got me into them. I have the card in my binder and is still the most expensive card i have.

I remember opening a Hidden Fates etb a couple years ago and being so excited over a couple baby shinies that I got. I didn’t even know how cool this set truly was until I got older and everything became so expensive haha
