Another interesting part of the glitch: Jirachi's egg was apparently caught in a nest ball! Before gen 6, all eggs and the Pokemon hatched from them would be in a regular Pokeball, so it should be impossible for an egg to be in a nest ball. Pretty strange since Dots isn't in a nest ball either.

Interestingly enough, I can probably explain this to an extent. If you use this glitch to throw out a pokemon that isnt hatched, you can send it out and level it up as if it is a regular pokemon, and when it hatches it will know any learned moves. I say this to explain that inside each egg is a fixed pokemon that will appear whenever you hatch it, albiet level 1 I think. With that said, the corruption likely changed the information of the pokemon to include the nest ball within the egg, and because the way eggs are created sets the pokeball value whenever the egg is generated and not hatched, there is nothing stopping a normally impossible pokeball from appearing on a hatched pokemon, as hatching is more like an on/off switch of "can you use this pokemon now?" with the exception of numbers that change as you use the pokemon like level, experience, and actual battling stats.

Just empty box 1 and box 2 of pokemons (and maybe the day-care) that you care about as these are the places pokemon will get corrupted. And then if you only corrupt and hold the up button for 2-5 seconds (don't go to over 10 seconds) there is no real danger to anything else. Remember to have a pokemon with fly. Maybe the pokemon contest data could get corrupted still, i'm not sure, but no one cares about those that much anyways

It's actually not that bad once you get the hang of it, I managed to glitch a Beldum holding a Safari Ball with Double Corruption (check out ChickasaurusGL for more) and I think if you glitched a Sapphire (the key item in FR/LG, not the game) you could skip the Team Rocket postgame, I need to try that out. Great and straight forward explanation of Glitzer Popping! Here's some feedback that will severely reduce the headache this glitch can create for newbies to the glitch: when you go to do the corruption, don't put either Dots or Pluses in slots 25-30 of box 2 as those slots do not EVER get corrupted; it is best to put Pluses in slots 13, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 23 and Dots in the slots to the right of each Pluses. But the biggest piece of advice not mentioned in the video is to keep box 1 and 2 COMPLETELY empty when doing corruptions outside of Dots/Pluses! The glitch will corrupt anything and everything in these two boxes so put anything valuable outside of these two boxes.

There's an even more complex version of this glitch that let's you get the Jirachi to be able to be transferred from Emerald through Pokemon Bank to the latest games. The best part is, it can be a shiny. It's a very complicated process though and depending on what your SID is (if you want it to be shiny) and the PID of the pokemon you're corrupting the method can change. There's a great video tutorial that explains how to do the first method, but there aren't any actual videos explaining the second method for it specifically, only a bunch of separate videos that can be combined to do it plus some of the comments of those videos that you piece together. If anybody wants to know, however, I'd be glad to explain in the replies. Even if you don't know your SID you can get a Jirachi that can be transferred to the latest games.

If you're planning on doing this glitch, note these 2 things: 1) If you're planning on hatching a Deoxys and a Mew, they won't obey you. 2) After a few glitches, you'll want to replace your Banette because it seems to make it much harder after a few times with the same Banette. Apart from that, everything should work correctly after a few tries.

@@melo7591 Oh, that’s actually pretty easy. It’s making the game confuse their dex number with their EV values. Mew is 151 in the dex, so you’d defeat 151 Whismur (there’s a whole tunnel of them, the Rusturf Tunnel) to make it to 151 HP EVs

I tried this with Mew, everything went well other than the fact I had to leave Mew in the daycare till level 40 to get rid of those glitched moves. And even after everything I found out that “glitched Mews” don’t obey no matter what, or can neither be traded

I don't know if you found it out yet or not, but as the above guy mentions, chickasaurus and the other dude have some videos on that. The reason Mew (and Deoxys) won't obey is because they need to have the flags for their events on them (fateful encounter at Faraway or Birth Island.) In order to do this you need to use an even more expansive version of the pomeg glitch in English copies that requires smeargles, glitch moves, and a bunch of other things, to have that value set. There's probably also an easier to set that up though but it requires non-english UK copies (french, german, etc.) in order to do so.

Memory manipulation is actually rather easy to find. It would be rather quick, when you see that your team has no active Pokémon, to check whether you can scroll further up (since most games do not implement redundant tests that forbid unintended behaviour). Accessing elements beyond an array's bound is really common in glitches; this was rampant in the first generation games, and this is how Glitch Pokémon were "defined". Basically, the first element of an array is placed at memory index X, the second is placed at memory index X+N, the third is placed at memory index X=2N... which means that somehow getting the game to access the zeroth puts you at memory index X-N, which contains stuff you are not supposed to access. So yeah, from "I can get into battle with zero Pokémon" to this, it's mostly trial and error. Well, the fact that you need exchange Pokémon I don't really understand, though I assume it's related to trainer ID bullshit (interestingly, this is how you speedrun the first Pokémon games; you reset the game until you have a Trainer ID that is the same as the room ID for the Hall of Champions, and, through memory manipulation bullshit, clear the game in like two minutes).

You can catch it in all Gen I games. The following is the usual method: 1) Play through the Gen 1 game of your choice until you get to Cerulean City, but do not enter the Gym. Make sure you clear Nugget Bridge, though. 2) Get an Abra. In Red and Blue, you can catch it on Route 24 - but you need to avoid the Trainer in the grass there because you'll need him later. In Yellow, you'll find it on Route 5, which means you need to get the SS Ticket from Bill so Officer Jenny stops blocking the house Team Rocket robbed/damaged, allowing you to get outside the city. 3) With Abra in your party, head back to Route 24 and find the trainer in the grass mentioned previously - but DO NOT get into a battle with him yet. Also, make sure you've healed at the Cerulean Pokemon Center 4) Save the game - preferably when the trainer is just offscreen and walking 1 tile down makes him see you. 5) Walk down and press Start immediately to bring up the menu. Timing is everything here, so if you don't get it, reset and try again. 6) If you've done Step 5 correctly, open your Pokemon menu and have Abra use Teleport to take you to the Pokemon Center.(you should see an '!' symbol as you're teleporting - that's how you know you're doing it right) 7) Go into the Cerulean Gym, battle the first Swimmer, and make sure you beat his Shellder last. 8) Head back to the Nugget Bridge and keep walking until the menu pops up. 9) Close the menu, and a wild Lv 7 Mew will appear! Bonus: If you use Growl 6 times on the aforementioned Shellder, the Mew will be at Lv 1. You can exploit this to get a Lv 100 Mew. (Sorry for the length)

Things that could be done: First do a clone (for untouched backups) of the traded pokémons to have backups before you add EVs to them, it saves time AND you can use them again and again to create any more pokémon you might want. The bad eggs can be removed afterwards with the reverse cloning glitch (instead of cloning, it erases).

You probably have Sapphire. on Sapphire, it's very common but on Ruby and Emerald it's extremely rare. (The opposite is true of Illumise: it's very common on Ruby and Emerald but you'll have lots of trouble finidng it on Sapphire, which is probably why you have so much trouble finding one).
