You can battle a team of 6 Blisseys in Pokemon Gold and Silver. In Viridian City, if the player have used Mystery Gift with another player using the Infrared communicator on two Gameboy Color systems, they will face the other player's current party in place of Pokemon Trainer Cal's. So the highest exp attained should be from a level 100 Blissey and not a Blastoise.

if i recall, in gold and silver, there was a battle room in viridian city, where if you mystery gifted a friend, the pkmn trainer CAL who usually runs a meganium, thyphlosion and feraligatr at lvl 50 gets replaced with your friend, and uses the exact same team your friend had when he did the mystery gift with you. *This means you can effectively fight against a team of 6 lvl 100 blisseys* once a day. Also for black and white 2, pinwheel forest, run around near the dark patches of grass for a garunteed double battle of lvl 64 audinos. make sure you have a traded lvl 1 pokemon, give it a lucky egg, teach it protect, and activate the exp booster o power thing. in battle have the other pokemon KO both the audinos with explosion so all exp gets funneled into the lvl 1. i think this was the highest exp gain in this game. if not, it was definitely the most accessible.

Little note for gen 2, you can use the mystery gift feature to change the trainer in the battle house in viridian to the person that you used the mystery gift with, if he has a lvl 100 blissey and you use a traded pokemon holding a lucky egg you can get exp numbers WAY higher than reds blastoise

Plus thief is excelent to get more lucky eggs because off SOS battles inn sun, moon, ultra sun and ultra moon, I have like 70 lucky eggs sinch I am pretty good at firgeting wich pokemons I put them on, so maybe more then 70........ But I usally train by battling chansey inn SOS battles with lucky egg and traded from one or the other copy I own, just set upp a SOS with chansey around the battle tree (don't recall if it was a tree or not) and grind for the time you want

The Most EXP is not the "fastest" exp. The fasted you get EXP is in ORAS through 6 secret bases LVL 100 Blissey, so 36 Blissey Each day. And they carry toxicorbs, so even a lvl 1 Pokemon can defeat them, it is pretty amazing that the Blissey codes are online and work.

In Gen 2, you could connect via infrared and send each other items. You could then battle that player’s party in the Trainer House in Viridian City. I battled Lv. 100 Pokémon lots of times.

one thing that I dont think was brought up is that lower level pokemon gain more experience than higher level pokemon (eg a level 3 zubat will earn more exp than a level 70 hydreigon) [I dont know the formula for this however but its existed in every game, but was much more prevalent in gen 5 in case you noticed], meaning that they may possibly gain more exp than a pokemon that is higher than the level it will evolve at

Pokemon level up at different speeds. For example Typhlosions leveling rate is Medium Slow. While Bidoof's level rate is Medium Fast. Does this change the amount of exp you get? Or only the amount of exp is in a level?
