►Pokémon Emerald Version is a role-playing video game developed by Game Freak, published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance. It was first released in Japan in 2004, and was later internationally released in 2005. It is an enhanced version of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire and is part of the third generation of the Pokémon video game series.
The gameplay and controls are mostly unchanged from previous games in the series; players control a Pokémon trainer from an overhead perspective. As with previous games, the player's general goal is to traverse the Hoenn region and conquer a series of eight Pokémon gyms in order to challenge the Elite Four and its champion, while the main subplot is to defeat two criminal organizations attempting to harness a legendary Pokémon's power for their own goals. Along with Pokémon that debuted in Ruby and Sapphire, the game incorporated Pokémon from Pokémon Gold and Silver not featured in Ruby and Sapphire in the post-game.

I know this video is from the last year, but just so you know, pokemon games from fire red/leaf green on don't need a battery to save, so your save file will never be gone, however, ruby/sapphire/emerald have time based events, and the battery inside them is used to keep the clock running.

as someone thats currently going for living dex in soul silver, zangoose is STILL one of the most rare for people without ruby. lunatone as well i think. if it wasnt for soul silvers complex safari zone i would have to buy ruby all these years later. wild. i personally LOVE ss/hg safari zone for that reason. the decor is also really cute honestly.

@@quocphong6083 oh yeh i found them in the safari zone as well! my point was i wouldnt have been able to find them at all without said safari zone, which is why i personally love it. a lot of people disliked its complexity, but it offered so many pokemon that would have otherwise been impossible for me to get without buying some of the older games, which are now super expensive. glad you enjoyed it too!

I just did this myself the other day. I was digging around some old stuff in my closet at my parents' house and found my old gameboy advance sp. Its the crappy 1st edition with the side lit screen rather than the back lit one. After replacing the battery, i booted up my old Emerald save and was greeted with a box full of duped Groudons and Rayquazas that i had totally forgotten i had fabricated as a youngster. I now remember how I was the "rare pokemon" dealer at my post-1st grade day-care, and how many friends i had made by trading them one of my unlimited supplies of legendary pokemon.

Amazing Spiderman Fan 2002 You can tell because the label is consistently shiny. The real cartridges had a crystal kinda pattern that reflects light at all different angles, like the stickers on icebreakers mints.

@@rittsuo4584 Battle Resort is not in Ruby and Sapphire, neither. And Battle! (Frontier Brain - Hoenn version) was a song that even wasn't in Ruby and Sapphire. It was the very Junichi Masuda who said that they didn't put the Battle Frontier in Omega and Alpha it's because it was so hard and just a tiny number of players appreciated and use the facilities. Actually, he even said players nowdays aren't attracted by that kind of "demanding" challenges.

Ah nostalgia... freaking emerald, the only Pokemon gba game I was able to finish . I have Firered but I got a glitchy copy where the save reverts to the previous file saved so I kinda have to save twice to progress..imagine my horror when after finishing elite four the game would automatically save once..I was doomed to end up at elite four never getting to the post game content 😤.. it's been years and I have never explored the rest of Sevii Islands😢

I am loving these exploring old files series, this is making me want to play Pokemon (i am playing Omega Ruby now) and this videos are so nostalgic! Reminds me of when i used to play Pokemon all day, sadly my first Pokemon file was on an emulator and i lost it so many years ago. My first pokemon game was Ruby version on an emulator back in 2004 (i remember that was sooo hard to find de rom for this game because it was a new game at the time). You can recreate the events using a flash cart and the legit event ROMs that have been dumped online from the legit even cartridges someone found somehow for a fortune. This is THE MOST legitimate AND accessible way of obtaining event pokemon because there will never be more gen 3 events obviously and there are only a few event cartridges out there. Also event carts have a limit to how many distributions they can do, luckily their ROMs have been dumped online so there's no need to worry about this, just an interesting fact. Finding these ROMs is a little tough but there is a website out there that has em. You are gonna need a flash cart and a second gameboy advance and a link cable, just like the events. Have all these things and you can re-create the event modern day

Man, I had was looking at my 396 hour leaf green account the other day. I had Pokémon from emerald and fire red in there from when I traded and battled with my friends. Seeing this video gets me so sad. I had a Leaf Green with over 400 hours. I was only missing deoxys and celebi. Maybe someone else but it had to be an event pokemon. Everything I had was also legit. ( maybe not ho oh and jirachi cause I remember a friend traded them to me but never told me how he got them) I did have the fully completed pokedex thing on my I’d. I think they would put stars or something g can’t remember. And I sold that fucking game to save money for a VITA!!! little did I know that the vita was gonna die so fast and the 3DS was gonna be so huge :c

XD001 means: Extra Darkness #1. That Lugia was the first fully formed shadow Pokémon, that shouldn’t be able to convert into a normal Pokémon again. Very impressive gamefile btw, love these video’s 😊

I started a new game on Emerald last year and I now have 289 hours played. I love breeding and making Pokémon battle ready in the older games. Also, last year I have bought a GameCube and Colosseum & XD to complete and get the Ho-Oh/Lugia too. Gen 3 is the absolute gem of the series with so much games to connect to eachother.

hi tips. I have a shiney pokemon WAITING srry if i said it wrong... so you have sowrd right. so. when i started me gen 8 my STARTER was a shiney no hack happend so then i named it hacked shiney. so i took it out in battle but then it was already a evolved form on lvl 100 and the HP was INSANE. guess... 999 thats it 999 and same goes for wild encounters evolved and lvl 100
