Something to note is that the returning gen 1 pokemon don't have their cry animations, some people think that the old pokemon in sword and shield didn't get new animations, but most of them got a cry animation in this game when entering a battle or evolving, it's the only new animation the older pokemon got (you can see what I'm talking about when staryu evolves, there's no animation, it's just standing there).
