tarkov has quests a whole economy and tiers of gear. as long as dmz has a real goal in mind with the gameplay loop it could be good but i feel just the gameplay loop alone will get stale quick if its what I think. tarkov is a horror game and im sure that an arcadey spinoff could be extremely satisfactory

If DMZ is done correctly, I hope it could eventually overtake the popularity of Warzone 2. Tarkov is one of my favorite games and it puts the whole fps style in a more realistic light that actually makes you feel like you're doing something tactical as opposed to how warzone is now. I only hope with the launch of DMZ we can have more players come to tarkov.

nobody's gonna play tarkov besides the sweats that already live inside the game bro, sorry to tell you. I mean for fucks sake the lead developer literally said the game is not meant to be fun. Who the fuck wants to play a game that isn't fun? Its extremely unforgiving, and not in the sense that its a hardcore skill based game, but in the sense that the learning curve is more like a learning 90 degree angle that you have to climb while vegetable oil is constantly thrown down from the top. Players who are deep into a wipe have armor that makes them basically fucking iron man. when 2 whole shotgun clips doesnt kill a man you know theres a problem. for a game that prides on "realism" the armor in that game is so fucking unrealistic. not to mention the fucking hideout system which, while a cool idea that COULD incentive more gameplay and progression, just becomes an unbearable grind fest thats pretty much mandatory to craft some really important items and consumables you can't find in the world for some godforsaken reason. tarkov in alpha was way more fun and player friendly than it is now. i really, really doubt tarkovs playerbase will ever see a huge boom or anything, or even grow at all from what it is now. especially considering they plan on adding more and more unfun bullshit over time

I don't see how DMZ could be more hardcore than the main game movement-wise, unless it has its own balancing separate from MW2 and Warzone 2, which I seriously doubt. As long as it has a player-driven economy and enough high-risk, high-reward scenarios to keep players on the gameplay loop, it should be pretty good.

It will not be a 1:1 clone it’s gonna be call of dutyized for sure and it’ll make the feel of the game completely different I’m personally not to optimistic about it because I know how cod does shit and tarkov is already as perfect as it gets minus optimization and servers I think the game will flop due to the lack of a hardcore aspect the difficulty of tarkov is what makes it so great when you actually do something in the game idk if cod can replicate that addictive feeling

The only reason i play tarkov is for the adrenaline it gives me, HIGH STAKES gear, realism, aswell as the RPG aspect of upgrading your characters vast skillset. I have a very strong suspicion COD wont even scrape the tip of the ice berg with that. Like jev said, us tarkov "extract" players, are very in depth.

If DMZ makes it so you have to find every attachment or complete challenges to obtain better attachments or equipment/perks even cosmetics you have an addicting game. if u want a good idea of how dmz will play in a casual setting, check out marauders, its an extraction based looter shooter like tarkov and dmz but its more simplfiied and casual so its probably closer to what DMZ in cod will play like... also its gonna be on gamepass on the 3rd or the 4th of this week so that's cool for anyone who wants to check it out, not sure if its available on xbox gamepass but pc gamepass 100%%%

For me EFT is both extracting for the reasons you said in this video and seeing my personal progression, whether its through tasks, or just learning the maps more and able to extract more as a reason for this, so if DMZ is like this, I may stop playing Tarkov all together. And in R6 I agree with you have said, when I play R6 I like to just rush round and try get some kills before dying, but as said you do have to play slow sometimes.

They're gonna have to have some kinda of respawn or give you another "life" if you're playing solo, but if you have a buddy or squad they might be able to bring you back so it encourages more gun fights and aggressive fun plays, instead of every camping therye butts of so they wont loose they're valuable stuff .

I image it would be more like cycle frontier with more of the focus being on your hideout and upgrading it so you can unlock different things to use in the map which would take the focus off the market aspect but obviously they still need to reward the player so maybe after you complete a bunch of task to progress you get skins only unlocked through dmz gameplay?

I want to say something about the term casual. There seems to be a problem right now with FPS games but more specifically COD where they think that making a game more casual means punishing players for playing aggressive. The idea of a casual game means you have a game that people play just to have fun, and aggressive play styles are just part of casual because in competitive games you aren't going to play hyper aggressively because at that point winning is everything and being too aggressive when you play can be a bad thing. Running around and just doing whatever you want like you did in the OLD games was perfect as an example for a casual game, but the mindset of the players is what turned it into competitive. What I feel they are trying to do with MWII right now is make it not a casual game, but more a game for players who might be new to Call of Duty. I just feel like people also are mistaking what it means to have a casual game. Old games were casual in concept, but players played those games competitively even on gamemodes that were casual like TDM. I will say from personal experience because I have played casual games for a long time like they were super competitive, and whenever I would lose or die I used to break controllers and smash my hands into my desk, but going back to old games I used to play and just playing them how I wanted to play them lately helped me see what went wrong and why I started to enjoy games less. I still say though that MWII will have problems for the long time players of the series that will be perfectly fine for new players that are still learning the games.

Yeah i also heard good things about cyberpunk after about 20 minutes after starting a new save I got completely locked in a room and the game wouldn't let me save. Game on low is 65 indoors 30ish outdoors and high is basically the same. I used to put up with poor game performance when I built my pc like 6+ years ago but thats because I was playing good games, I would put up with the bad performance if cyberpunk was a good/enjoyable experience.
