My theory is that they must have overprinted a ton. Later, those cards tanked in value, and then they were picked up and hoarded. So, it's actually not that rare. It's only essential for certain people that it is perceived that way.

As much as I enjoy watching these, the sadness just comes back for me lol. I lost my entire base set 1 and 2, jungle, fossil, team rocket, and some Japanese cards in hurricane katrina. I stopped collecting right before Skyridge. Really wish I would have bought boxes when they were around $600. Almost bought one for $17,500 USD a few years back but family comes first. Maybe one day I'll be able to re-invest.

defnitely dont start with vintage stuff. buy modern, build a subscriber base by posting often. once you have a substantial subscriber base and have done some giveaways maybe consider doing vintage
