I just found your channel yesterday because even though I’m 38, I am only just now getting into Pokémon for the first time lol. I started playing the games during the pandemic, I had never cared about Pokemon at all despite being a gamer my whole life, and now, I’m finally starting to look at collecting the cards, so your channel was one of the first and best resources I’ve found for info. Just wanted to say your shop looks awesome, and I’m jealous that I’m not in the UK to check it out in person, because if I was, I would probably become a regular pretty quickly! Congrats on everything and good luck, I know how challenging it is to open and run a new business, but you look like you’ve got everything you need to be a big success.

What bankrolled this venture to start with? Just curious - you are clearly a very hard worker in everything you do but what seeded the big pokemon collection you built up to? Was it all through Pokémon, work careers before, inheritance, etc?

I'm the same bro but now. We had a place in Ormskirk uk, called the playhouse it's nastolgic to me know when I think about that place, you could play ps1 I think at the time maybe game cube 😅 one thing for sure they had all tcg packs. I'll never have my own shop for many reasons but it's sweet to see this lady do really well for herself, it seems to me she deserves it more then most

It's impossible for me to create enough money to even think about opening a store like we both would love. Congrats on the new Store! I've opened up a restaurant from start to finish. Its a very stressful process. I felt you when you were waiting for the sign to go up. I was frustrated for you cause I've been there before. LOL! It's awful because you are at the mercy of someone else with a timeline that you must follow to make everything else fall into place. There are ALWAYS set backs in the process. I'm just glad you guys got it up and running now. Congrats again!

Amazing job, only recently a m8 of mine started talking about he’s collecting pokemon cards , so that got my interest as a kid born in late 80s pokemon was massive. Can’t believe your able to get these old unopened packs, think I’ll take a look on website and buy a few packs and stick em in a draw lol , thanks for bringing back some amazing memories and bringing the late 90s back to life with your store, incredible!

make sure you get UV protection on the windows!!! sun damage/bleaching happens so slowly you don’t notice until it’s too late unless your shop lights are LED i also recommend UV protection on the frame of the uncut holo sheet because i know how expensive those are 🥰

I know about the herringbone PVC. It's called Bodiax. You took the dryback version. I have it in my shop as well. It's definitely a good choice. Ive sold a ton of bodiax the 0.55 toplayer is perfect

Man lot of stock that you can't find very good in the US either without paying scalper prices. That 25th celebrations box at 5 minutes would be nice and the 2 boxes just a bit down look like classic collections cases. Both of which I've never once seen in a store.
