It's probably more reasonable to have the cookies be more expensive since it's a product that needs constant production otherwise it will spoil and they can sell old products. Theres also the aspect of marketing where its a "Healthy snack". It is not a healthy snack, its a healthier snack. Nothing in those really give anything more then some carbs and fat, yes theres a little bit of protein and fibre, but nothing special. It's also packaged in overall better quality packaging, but its 4 containers, which will increase the overall cost of the product. Which can be used to give the illusion of getting more of a product, since 4 packages is more then 1 and our cave man brains often perceive it as more is better. Although the product doesnt appear bad, probably tastes pretty decent, the marketing is just so bad and missleading I think. Very similar to Prime, Prime is NOT a hydration drink. Although its marketed as one.

The product was a test release under the company she's worked with to start this brand, then taken off shelves after that first test release. They weren't stolen, the company let her re-use the formula and alter it to make her cookies and give them a 2nd chance on the shelf. Does that justify them being priced up? Not necessarily, but they're still their own product and one Poki did not steal, so it cannot be called a scam by any means. Unfortunately, their price is on par with any of those healthy, organic ingredient brands that are meant to be for healthy snacks. You wouldn't believe what the price of the regular large protein and health brands have their snacks and drinks at.

I just think if she came out of the gate saying "these cookies are a rebrand of my favorite cookie" or "my brand took over this brand" or even "hey I made my own cookie off the base ingredient of this other brand that I like and respect, and have their permission to", everybody would have understood. But saying this was all original and you worked 2 YEARS on making this happen makes it seem like you started completely from scratch and making something totally original. I work at Costco. The image of the Costco cookies has an asterisk on the top right corner of the cookies’ price tag, and that means the product has been “deathstarred.” When that happens it means that product will soon no longer be carried and what is being sold is all we have. So the fact that she’s selling cookies that are essentially the same as the ones about to leave stores selling them for a substantially cheaper price is kinda wild.

I’m honestly just miffed at the minimal quantity per bag given its origins and how she’s handling the criticism as a whole. Cookies with healthy ingredients tend to be more expensive, yeah, but 4 ounces for 7$ is waaay too pricey. She could have admitted her own lapse in judgement and instead have been open about how it’s her first time really dealing with this kind of business venture. It would make her seem genuine and the drama would have been easily forgiven as a mistake that anyone could make... But doubling down and insulting the fans that love and support you? That’s just making things escalate and causing dominoes to fall. It could be that she has no control over the price, but it’s still no excuse to insult others. A simple, “If you can’t afford it, I don’t expect you to buy it,” would have done fine instead of what she resorted to. Never liked Pokimane, but I've never been able to say why exactly, I've just always been sorta disgusted when I see her face. However, now I know why, seems I am able to just see past the facade. I was always the same with Sssniperwolf before I found out about how horrible she was. Poki is just like her. Puts on a mask but is just a greedy, judgemental liar behind it. These cookies are just one thing. So many times I've seen her mask slip but never been able to make definitive claims she's acting in a certain way. Like with the Rumble contract.
