I am so glad this video is still here. I watch this every year!! My mom and I used to get it on VHS from the library when I was a kid :-) Sooo hokey and I love it! "Let me take my BOOT INSIIIIIIDE!"

When i was a little kid i thought his boot was with him his whole life and he loved it. I didn't realize he just found it! That day! This makes his dramatic boot song so funny.

i had a Poky little puppy's first Christmas book when i was a kid around 80-81ish, judging by the cover of the book as it changed over the years mine was a 1973 edition. Loved the book, didn't even know there was a video made from the series until today, it's a good little movie for sure

Fun fact: Herman, the adorable skunk? He's voiced by the same guy who would later play a notable serial killer, Christopher Pelant on Bones. I find that hard to swallow. I mean, look at how freaking CUTE Herman is!

OMG I remember this when I was 6 and in 1st grade. I"m 16 and in 11th grade. I watch this in class after the singing concert for Christmas. MY MOM made me leave before I even saw the ending. I GOT SO PISS!!! In December 16, 2004 so weird I remember this date. Now I can finally see what happened.

Ok as weird as it sounds, the only thing Remember from this was the song at 13:20 I haven't heard this song for at least 10 years and there were a few parts of the song I automatically remembered..

Same here. It’s actually amazing because I was about 5-8 years old when my cousins and i would watch this movie over and over, (since my grandmother didn’t exactly have a good collection of children’s movies). When al’ 3 songs started the words were just coming out of my mouth without even having to think about it, and without even knowing I knew the words so well! Damn, the brain is awesome!

I have seen this in Swedish a lot. The dub is pretty faithful, but they made the skunk female and called "her" Jenny.

I remember the book The Poky Little Puppy from when I was a kid. I never knew that this existed. Every year my dad and I try to see as many Christmas specials and movies as possible. It is our annual tradition. The only one that we don't watch is A Christmas Story. We don't like that one.

Very enjoyable. The animation is nice. The voices are good, although Donald Sutherland would not have been my first choice as narrator. Could have done without the pink names across the screen the entire time.
