Poland is considering shooting down Russian missiles over Ukraine, but there are no decisions yet, according to Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Paweł Wroński.
Poland is considering the possibility of using its air defense systems to shoot down Russian missiles near the border and on the territory of Ukraine.
"This issue is being examined from the legal and technical point of view, but there are no decisions in this matter," Wroński said.
He noted that the Ukrainian party has already addressed the Polish party with this initiative.
According to Wroński, discussions on this issue arose in Poland after a Russian missile violated the country's airspace in March this year, staying in it for 39 seconds.
He explained that the possibility of Polish air defense systems shooting down such missiles over the territory of Ukraine is being discussed, as well as the possible legal consequences of such a step.
At the same time, the spokesperson for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that there is no talk of physically relocating elements of the Polish air defense system to Ukraine.
As reported earlier, F-16 fighter jets have been repeatedly spotted flying over Poland during Russian missile attacks on Ukraine.
Each time, Poland activates its air defense systems. However, it has never shot down even those missiles that violated its airspace.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that NATO can shoot down Russian missiles flying over Ukraine without the alliance's aircraft crossing Ukrainian airspace. He stressed that such a step would be a purely defensive tactic and would not create the risk of direct combat with Russian troops.
"So my question is: what's the problem? Why can't we shoot them down? Is it defense? Yes. Is it an attack on Russia? Are you shooting down Russian planes and killing Russian pilots? No. So what's the problem with dragging NATO countries into war? There is no such question Shoot down what’s in the sky over Ukraine. And give us weapons to use against Russian troops on the borders,” Zelensky said.
Let us recall that earlier former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said that the alliance countries should use their air defense systems located in Eastern Europe to shoot down Russian missiles and drones aimed at Ukrainian cities.

Because of Russia's actions and statements, there is already reason to protect civilians in Ukraine. It should also be declared in the UN, and the previous decision of international criminal court was against Russia's actions.

Well, On 24 November 2015, a Turkish Air Force F-16 fighter jet shot down a Russian Sukhoi Su-24M attack aircraft near the Syria-Turkey border, which people seem to have forgotten. So why shouldn’t Poland take down russian missiles that come close to their country.
