Chechens fighting on Ukrainian soil - those who follow the example of Dzhokhar Dudayev - a man who led Chechnya toward freedom before his efforts were thwarted by Russia. Today, this spirit of independence lives on in the Chechen soldiers fighting alongside Ukrainians against Putin’s invasion.

Maybe the idea of taking Bakhmut was for Prygozhyn to fund just that? Are the saltmines productive? Wagner have taken ownership of similar assets as part of their conquest fee in other countries.

As a Chechen myself I feel it's absolutely shameful that any Chechen fight for the Russians. When I heard it first time I couldn't believe it's true. How can any sane Chechen fight for that animal Putin who started all hell in Chechnya, and who supported the slaughter of children women and elders by rinsing out village after village. It's something I will be ashamed of the rest of my life, that even one single Chechen man fight for Putin. It's absolutely shocking to me..... and I feel extremely sad about that.

Objectively very wrong, but I'm on my couch, not out there, so, idk, it's hard to think about, and hard to see people die, especially now, knowing at this stage of the war, the majority of the civilian murdering rapists in the Russian army have died from attrition and the majority of the Russian soldiers at this point are probably normal people who really don't want to be there who've been kidnapped and more or less held at gunpoint by their own & adjacent "friendly" units to try to stop them from escaping

@@OY.VEY3366 Russian stupid tactics means MANY more Russian losses than Ukrainians. Literally fodder ... an excerpt: "Southwest of the city of Bakhmut, Ukrainian soldiers Andriy and Borisych live in a candle-lit bunker cut into the frozen earth. For several weeks they have been confronting hundreds of fighters belonging to the Russian private military contractor Wagner throwing themselves against Ukrainian defenses. Disguised in a balaclava, Andriy recounts one seemingly endless firefight when they came under attack by a flood of Wagner fighters. “We were fighting for about 10 hours in a row. And it wasn’t like just waves, it was uninterrupted. So it was just like they didn’t stop coming.” Their AK-47 rifles became so hot from constant firing, Andriy says, that they had to keep changing them. “It was about 20 soldiers on our side. And let’s say 200 from their side,” he says. The Wagner way of war is to send a first wave of attackers that mainly comprises raw recruits straight out of Russian prisons. They know little of military tactics and are poorly equipped. Most just hope that if they survive their six-month contract they can go home rather than back to a cell “They make the group - let’s say from 10 soldiers - reach 30 meters, then they start digging in to keep the position,” Andriy says of Wagner. Another group follows, he says, to claim another 30 meters. “That’s how, step by step, (Wagner) is trying to move forward, while they lose a lot of people in the meantime.” Only when the first wave is exhausted or cut down do Wagner send in more experienced combatants, often from the flanks, in an effort to overrun Ukrainian positions.. “Our machine gunner was almost getting crazy, because he was shooting at them. And he said, I know I shot him, but he doesn’t fall. And then after some time, when he maybe bleeds out, so he just falls down.” Andriy compares the battle to a scene out of a zombie movie. “They’re climbing above the corpse of their friends, stepping on them,” he says."" So, truly Z-ombies 🇷🇺 Z 🧟‍♂️ looking for brains because they don't have any 😅😂🤣

Just like in any conflict zone. As a combat Marine vet in the Nam, during an assault on NVA positions we were taught the number one priority was to attain and maintain fire superiority. If a fellow Marine went down, we were taught to continue the assault and leave the care of the wounded to corpsman and support personnel coming up from the rear to retrieve the wounded. We had learned the hard way ... if a Marine goes down in an assault and his fellow Marines in the assault go to help, you have lost 1or 2 Marines for everyone wounded that goes to help him and you run the risk of losing momentum in the assault ... you must maintain fire superiority or risk the whole unit getting slaughtered... it happened. The lesson was not lost on those of us who had learned it the hard way. Anyone who tells you that we never leave our dead or wounded behind has never experienced the absolute unpredictable horrors of the twist and turns on the battlefield during combat in the fog of war. As Mike Tyson once said 'Everybody has a plan ... until they get punched in the face.

@@fukkitful80% of our movement in the field were platoon size patrols ... 40-50 Marines. Number one target, the platoon leader, usually a leutinent. Next in line, the radio man, stuck out like a sorry thumb because of his whip antenna and his close proximity to the platoon leader. The next most vulnerable targets, the Navy corpsman and the M60 machine gunner. On several occasions, we were ambushed by the NVA. They'd rather wound than kill in an ambush, tie up troops in a quagmire of rescue efforts to extract the wounded. But really, they have no control over who gets killed or wounded during initial contact, but it's a good bet some would be wounded. They would always try to 'grab us by the belt buckle' that is, hit us so close in that it would be suicide to call in supporting indirect artillery fire ... on ourselves, sometimes as close as 20 meters.

@@fukkitful right on Brad. We called the leutinents ' brown bars' because they would have their Lt bar sewn on their collar as a brown patch. Actually, when I think about it, number one priority target was the radio, not the man, the radio. Can't call in supporting fire, be it air or arty if your radios out. It shall also take judicial notice of official governmental documents and reports of the United Nations, including the acts and documents of the committees set up in the various allied countries for the investigation of war crimes, and of records and findings of military or other Tribunals of any of the United Nations. It`s from the nuremberg trials. German guilt for Katyn has been established there (supposedly a german officer also confessed to it at a trial in Leningrad but again i don`t understand the language and have no access to the court files) and there very high ranking critics on it at that time (e.g. US surpreme court chief justice at that time Harlan Fisk Stone). Why do i risk legal trouble and even jail for saying the same things that Yad Vashem in Israel, the USholocaustmuseum and leading jewish historians (Yehuda Bauer, Raul Hillberg and David Cesarani) and other mainstream historians (e.g. Jean-Claude Pressac) say/said, not even speaking about the revisionists because all of those mentioned say different things for which germans were tried, imprisoned and executed for and still risk jail over. There is a lot more: Including the claim of multible authors that state that Operation Barbarossa was started short before the planned sowjet attack. This authors base their statements on archives, inncluding russian archives and war diaries from people who were there. THis includes authors from russia and finnland. Some of such authors are: Dr. Bernd Schwipper (Generalmajor a.D. ["former" major general] of the GDR, he studdied on the university in moskau back in the day and after the cold war ended had access to and researched in archives there) Generalmajor a.D. Gerd Schultze-Rhonhof (Generalmajor a.D. ["former" major general] of the Bundeswehr) Walter Kempowski: Das Echolot - Barbarossa '41 (war diaries) Erkki Hautamäkis: „Finnland i stormens öga“ (Finnland in the eye of the storm). I haven`t read this one because it isn`t aviable in a language that i understand. Supposedly it speaks of a alledged Churchill Stalin pact (15. October 1939) Victor Suvorov: The Chief Culprit: Stalin's Grand Design to Start World War II Supposedly according to a war diary of a higher member of a sowjet army staff financial soldier Awdejewski wrote that: The barracks were already empty. The troops have been moved to their marshaling area on the western border. The army staff was ready to fight, all staff officers were at their posts. 21. Juni 1941 the staff moved to their advance command post towards the border (Operation Barbarossa started 22. Juni 1941). Quote from Avdejewski: "With my statements I would like to emphasize that the assertion that our troops went to war unprepared is at least incorrect." A other little known example: California Digital newspaper collection Madera Tribune, Volume LXXIV, Number 98, 24 August 1939 POLE GUNS FIRE ON DANZIG PLANE German Planes Detour to Avoid Attack DANZIG, Aug. 24. -Early morning bathers reported today that Polish guns fired 10 shots at a Danzig sports airplane and that shell fragments fell in the streets of Zoppot, in free city territory. The German Lufthansa company abandoned direct airplane service, across the Pomorze area of Poland, separating Germany proper from East Prussia and Danzig. Planes were detourned over the Baltic as the result of today’s and yesterday’s alleged Polish firing on German planes. The chronology of this and other events are very interesting.

Problem> Those Chechens fired 2 consecutive anti-tank rounds from exactly the same position. This might be why one of them got hit shortly after the second round was fired. It's asking for trouble, clearly marking your location twice in the same position. Firing from even a few yards away the second time would have been much less risky. The guys with the recoilless rifle had the right idea. Fire your round then scarper as fast as possible, before your target zeroes in on your smoke trail or flash.

Damn I love that song! I'm not fond of metal, but that sounds like a folk song that's been sung to light metal. It evokes dreams of the Cossacks riding across the steppes of southern Ukraine fighting the Russians and Mongols out of the east. It goes good with the dropping of grenades on Russian heads.

Unfortunately for the Ukrainians, they are just cannon fodder for NATO, the war when end when Russia says so. Ukrain has lost hundreds of thousands of soldiers and they have no supplies left.
