Hi! All wearables have some margin of error when it comes to steps - none of them will be exact. Regarding calories, make sure your personal details (age, gender, etc) are accurately entered in the Polar Flow app. How do you gauge calories inaccuracy? Are you comparing it with another wearable? Curious to know 🤔

@@thewearableist Your Grit X2 Pro has a 3D digital acceleration sensor to measure your wrist movement. The frequency, intensity and regularity of your wrist movements are registered and used to estimate the number of steps. Polar device reads your wrist movement and updates steps reading once a minute. It registers steps even if you’re e.g. swimming and not taking any actual steps. The watch is designed to be worn in your non-dominant wrist. If you wear it on your dominant hand, you’ll get a bigger steps reading because in everyday chores your dominant hand will naturally do many more small moves compared to your non-dominant hand. @MrMorisman thanks, it helps everyone reading the comments 🙌🏼 This is true for most wrist-based wearables so no getting around this margin of error for steps being added to the total tally.

@@thewearableist you stand still but you move your hand around your body >> your Polar watch will count steps. You keep your hands to your pocket or you bush baby carriage and you walk or run around and your legs are taking steps >> your Polar is not counting any steps because your hands are not moving. Hi! I cover the GPS antenna performance and accuracy in my full in-depth review where I used it for several hikes in Spain, Andorra and UK: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYiVlKquoZZ-bLs For my hike in Spain where we had cliffs on either side of our route, I was also using the Garmin Forerunner 165 aand the max elevations are similar, ascent and descent in same ballpark but given the Grit X2 Pro has dual band antenna I feel that's more accurate than the Garmin I used which has single band only. I've saved some screenshots of the maximum elevation, ascent/Descent and the elevation profile for you here: 1drv.ms/f/s!AqFsi1ZnfdtzgYt7RgSt_ivXtltnug Link expires tomorrow due to security. Hope that helps 😉
