So assumption is that you are comparing larger size watches. I've read the battery on the smaller 41mm PW3 is awful so I wonder how that compares to the battery of the 40mm GW7?
@thewearableist20 сағат бұрын
Hi! Yep, both were the larger sizes I compared in this video. The smaller 41 mm Pixel Watch 3 played for around 24 hours in some other publications, I'd reckon the smaller Galaxy Watch large fit for same or likely less than that.

Really appreciate the overview. I've been eyeing the Oura but can't get past the subscription fee. I've been looking for a wearable that tracks sleep, temperature / cycle, and activity goals, preferably without the subscription. Is there a better option you'd suggest? Performance isn't as important to me.
@thewearableist3 күн бұрын
Hi, glad you found the video helpful. If you're looking for a ring-based wearable without any subscription that tracks your desired meteics, then, checkout the Galaxy Ring: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3akcqV_abR6d6c Here's in my in-depth comparison of both rings: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2GyqWilf5x8a7s If you don't mind having a tracker around your wrist, there's the Garmin Vivosmart 5 with good accuracy (no subscriptions): kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHrKqYikgqqgrac I'm also due to publish my review on the Garmin Venu 3 very soon which ticks all the boxes, has some smart features and good battery life - but it's a watch not a ring. There's plenty of fitness trackers around as well from Xiaomi and Huawei, but Garmin's platform, data and quality is better. I'll be doing a deep dive comparison between all wearable types very soon, comparing rings, fitness trackers, smartwatches, sportswatches, fitness bands (Whoop band) and chest straps. Hope this helps 😀

Garmin locking software features to force people to upgrade to the higher tier watches is pathetic. I would've bought it if it tracked snow sports since I live in the North but nope. Also, the more casual Vivoactive 5 has Gorilla Glass 3 for screen protection but this one doesn't. Like... why?
@thewearableist4 күн бұрын
I know right?! Feel like features are stripped out to justify the price point but you're absolutely right in that the Vivoactive 5 is in the same price range and has the additional sports profiles built-in with a more durable design. I'm thinking of doing an in-depth comparison between a Forerunner and a lifestyle-smartwatch like the Venu 3 or Vivoactive 5.
@dazone7054 күн бұрын
A couple of points, the Galaxy watch can also detect sleep apnea and AFib. Worth mention is whether or not you can get any of the data out of their apps, yes Samsung health has a lot of data but the graphs are tiny without much in the way of markings for numbers. Also which one is usable if you're an iPhone user?
@thewearableist4 күн бұрын
That's some great points - thanks, it helps everyone reading the comments 🙌🏼 Google unfortunately dropped Wear OS support for iOS more than a year ago so can't use these with an iPhone. There are a couple of workarounds available online if you do a deep dive on the Internet but you'd end up sacrificing a lot of features to the point where it's not worth the hassle. If you're an iPhone user, I'll be posting my in-depth review of the Garmin Venu 3 next week which might be a great alternative for iPhone users. Watch this space 😀

5 atm, actually, means that it is barely ok to wash the watch in the sink. For swimming you need at least 15 atm (~150m) and 200m or more would be ideal. So dont be surprised, when you water damage your smartwatch and the repairs wouldn't be covered by the warranty.😮
@thewearableist7 күн бұрын
Hi! This one should be fine for swimming pools (and washing hands in the sink 😅). But yeah its not made for diving - you probably then need a Suunto Ocean or Garmin Fenix 8 - completely different league.

@thewearableist5 күн бұрын
Hi! It depends on your goals and the smart features you're after. Fitness trackers - limited smart features and apps (Whatsapp, etc not available). Good battery life. Focus mainly on health and fitness. I'd recommend either the Fitbit Charge 6 or the Garmin Vivosmart 5. Smartwatch - more smart features and apps. Poor battery life (<2 days in most cases). Good health and fitness tracking. More expensive. Some smartwatches like Garmin Venu 3 can last more than a week (a bit more expensive). Rings - no interface other than the app on your phone. Expensive - and focus on health and wellbeing (fitness trackers better and more accurate than rings). Sportswatches - focus on sports, performance, recovery - Polar, Garmin, Suunto and Coros watches - more expensive than all above options - limited smart features. For a good balance of almost all the above - I'd suggest checking out the Garmin Venu 3. I'm posting a review of the Venu 3 very soon. Hope this helps 😀

Hi, blood pressure monitoring is new to wearables. I haven't tested a smart ring (yet) which does BP but checkout this sub-reddit which may help: www.reddit.com/r/SmartRings/comments/197l6tz/blood_pressure/ I know the Samaung Galaxy Watch 7 also does BP measurements. Maybe I should make a separate video just testing and comparing the accuracies of the BP measurements from these devices.

@thewearableist17 күн бұрын
Hi! The Xiaomi Watch S3 has a swimming activity and should be fine for use in a swimming pool as per their official specs. I haven't personally tested the Huawei Watch Fit 3 but a quick look suggests it should also be fine for swimming. Check this link out showing a comparison of both: versus.com/en/huawei-watch-fit-3-vs-xiaomi-watch-s3 Interestingly, the above link suggests the Huawei Watch Fit 3 has a stroke counter for swimming - which might be great for your use case? I haven't tested it personally so can't comment on its accuracy though. Battery life on the Xiaomi looks longer than the Huawei. Looks like the Huawei is not a bad gift at all 😀 Hope the above link helps, its got quite a lot of detail in it.
