Also - no trees on Iceland or Greenland - they were full up with trees - until they cut them all down for shops and houses.. C'mon, people!! Just like the fish.

Good question! Polar Eskimo - a language spoken by about 750 people. As a good writer said: " they have a legitimate claim to think of themselves as the last, real Inuit. And they like to be called eskimo: NOT INUIT! People on Greenland one tribal group? The Polar Eskimo is an outcast to the city dwellers in Nuuk. And the Nuuk-people are foreigners to the Polar Eskimo. They just happen to live on the same big island.

In the arctic you need to eat raw meat for vitamins, unless you are so rich that you build a large greenhouse or buy air-delievered veggies all the time.

Ignorance of kill limits ruined their hunting in guessing it'll be a few years then all the fish will be gone. You don't fish 70 hooks anywhere that's not fishing.

Well, they couldn't build farm there so their population is pretty much determined by the population of the species they feed on. Once everything getting more and more scarce lots of them will die. When their numbers are getting low enough all the wild life will replenish themselves since there isn't much predator hunting them and once it has been replenished more humans could survive again and the cycle will keeps repeating like that. It's actually pretty good to let the cycle since only the best suited humans and animals there could survive and pass their dna and thus they're getting better and better(evolution). The thing is they get supplies and help from the outside while all the other animals don't. When they should perish but don't it allows them to keep hunting until every single of other species in the ecosystem become completely extinct.

Please watch a few episodes of Taktu on Alaska Extreme channel. It’s amazing footage of how they lived before they took to the “easier” way of life. It’s hard to tell, food was scarce when ice sheets formed in winter, but now they have a new set of troubles. Not likely that they would want to go back to living in igloos in 60 below, so idk. They were able to survive in the harshest climate on earth and did it well. It’s hurtful to see them stuck between two different worlds. There is a certain kind of ignorance (not knowing) to blame the Inuit/Eskimo. Colonization forced them to assimilate into modern culture by 1939, and that basically ended their way of life. The natives are known to be stewards of the earth. They did not rape the lands. They are just trying to survive.
