One of my absolute faves on the team. Center backs don’t have showy stats that make them household names but Abby probably has the strongest, most accurate boot on the team and is a fierce stopper. There’s a reason the US only allowed 3 goals the entire 2019 World Cup and Abby is a big part of that reason. Great and inspirational story and a hero. Thanks Abby!

However, as a European, I really have trouble with the s-word you are always using in the US. The game is called football and nothing else, for god's sake. Call the other stuff American Football if you like, but don't use the s-word for the sport in which Abby excels so greatly, please.

Soccer is historically correct and the word has a long history behind it. So the use of Soccer for football, is technically not incorrect. By the way the English were the ones the started using Soccer, so you can thank them for this BS.
