I'm predicting that they'll move on to Aegis when RSI pipeline is complete. Between the Idris, Nautilus, Vulcan and Tally/Vanguard modularity etc, it feels like the post-SQ42 dev cycle would focus on these before going back to the BMM.

I dont get why they just finish of Drake by doing the Kraken if what they are aiming for is having lots of assets to reuse. Its the only Drake ship that isnt done.

I'm not a fan of the bridge of RSI ships that I've seen so far; but damn. The Perseus exterior looks amazing. I think if I were to go for a bigger ship it's definitely a toss-up between that and a Hammerhead, though I don't have the kind of money for a RMT for that so grinding in the game will be the only way for me.

Yeah honestly I think the Perseus is by far the most badass looking ship I've seen in star citizen. I can't wait to fly it one day in the verse. Seeing the main guns firing from the bridge will be epic.

I can't find any info on it though and I don't remember which of the dozens of SC videos I've seen over the last couple of weeks it was in. Anyone know anything about that?

I doubt it, but then again everything is subject to change. Right now they have the Caterpillar, Nomad as the loaners for the Pioneer

If the galaxy is actually the T0 implementation of large base building it would be logical to give it as a loaner. Maybe swap the caterpillar for the galaxy.

While I am very excited for the Galaxy (after all, with a Battle Bridge, a fish tank, holodecks and saucer separation it offers a lot) and also looking forward to base building, I doubt the Galaxy will be released sooner *_because of_* base building. Base building looks like it will be years of. Rather, I am curious if they will start selling the now quasi-confirmed Base-building module when the Galaxy itself is implemented, or only when Base building will be in the game.

The Polaris concept art released last year looked a lot better than what they showed at CitizenCon. It almost looks like they stretched it out, removed some panels and widened certain parts. Kind of disappointed but we'll see how it all comes together.

I think it would be really nice of them to give free javelin ships to people who bought the squadron 42 bundle pack of the game as a thank you for buying the bundle pack, seeing as the javelin ship will be released soon after squadron 42 is released! But that’s my opinion.

I'm kinda pissed they swapped to the Galaxy first and then the Perseus. The Perseus has been around for WAY longer, yet we have to wait for that after a ship that was a concept years afterward. Like that's just bullshit to me.

I'm hoping they don't increase the price on the Perseus at IAE, I melted the CCUs I had for it to grab the C1. They just have incredibly expensive jumps at that price range.

Yeah well, that's why you should avoid CCU's, you end up ownig nothing, it gets melted back to some little LTI token, they are No investment. and locks away valuble Instore Credit. Just saying, you enjoy your CCU's.

@@firstjayjay Devs were asked about combat missions for the Polaris and other large combat ships and they stated that there definitely will be high reward missions and gameplay for them.

Nah, don't let what others have or don't have dictate what you get. Hell, eventually just get one of each, they have similar roles, but very different ways of achieving it. If you only have four or five people able to join you, take your Perseus. If you have 8-14, take the Polaris. Nothing hurts from having both and letting yourself pick which to take that day!

Don't feel too bad. They are going to get the design language absolutely down for the Perseus. I think it says something that it will be saved as the last of this type (For now) to be finished. The Idris is endgame for me as an individual player, but I am in love with that Perseus and see most of my time spent there.

That is a giant capital ship that sadly I wouldn't expect for at least another 3-4 years as they said they will need to make both asteroids and gameplay just for it, it was on the map a few years back then we never heard about it again.

And take it with a full bag of salt. Producing and release is not required or dependant on anything in game currently. Any reason to block the release even after full completion of the ship could be anything up to and including the marketing team determining it is notnthe mist advantagious for max profit.
