The YUASA YB30L-B (Polaris Part # 4010630) in our 2009 Polaris Ranger HD UTV needs to be replaced. The spec's on the Odyssey 925L depicted in this video are not exactly the same as the OEM battery I just described, so I was wondering if you would recommend the Odyssey battery you're using as an auxiliary battery as a stand-alone (main) battery for a Ranger like ours? If you do recommend it as a replacement for the OEM battery, do we need any type of mounting kit to secure the battery in the main battery box/tray? Thank you for your time...

Any issues with mixing a agm and a flooded battery?

You should have room on the driver side, to the right of the batteries. Or it could be mounted directly in front of the batteries over the slot that runs accross the front, just be carefull not to drill the screws into the radiator.

The separator make's sure that the main battery is charged before it charges the second battery. So it charges the batteries independently. I don't think that this would effect your starter solenoid. However, as the video show's, one of the optional wire's allows both batteries to connect in parallel to assist when starting the engine. So I'm not sure, but if the separator is malfunctioning maybe this connection could effect the starter solenoid. But again, I'm not sure.

The 925L will drop in the the opening for the stock battery, no adjustments needed. There just about the same size. Based on review's from the PRC web site and my on experience the odyssey batter last longer than the stock battery. So I would have no hesitation in replacing the stock battery with the Odyssey. If fact i'm about to do the same thing, as my stock battery appears to be growing weak.

The TrueAm dual battery isolator has voltage monitoring kit better than any isolator in the industry. See the videos here. www.dfna.info/category/customer-videos/
