Polaris Ranger Wire Harness Fix **URGENT!!!!!** Check this right away!!!!

With all the talk on social media about this wire harness rubbing through I thought I should check mine. Sure enough mine was starting to wear also. I am fortunate I found it when I did. Thank you to everyone that posts these type of issues. It helps us all. I used a 3/4" I.D. rubber hose to protect it. You could use a 1" also. I think a 1"I.D. would be better. I checked mine. 2019 with 1440 miles and the harness was worn thru and a red wire showing. Got it just in time. Thank You Went to Ace and got a piece of hose and put over it. May want to tape first. Used another piece and zipped the problem hose off of the harness.

Heavy on the urgent, my 2021 got to the 02 sensor wires down to a couple strands,

They commonly wear under the zip ties too check around your factory zip ties they can be too tight and wear into the wires

just do a zip tie weave. cost 3 cents takes 2 min. wires don't touch reduces vibration on hoses and wires.

Might want to rotate that first zip tie down so it doesn't rub the hose. Did that exact "fix" last night.

Unfortunately I have a 2021 northstar 4 door that I found rubbed thru at 3k miles melted about inches of 02 sensor wires that I surgically repaired because the dealer is talking complete harness warranty repair 02 sensor wires are wrapped and insulated in foil also so I duplicated the patch best I could, then proceeded to shrink wrap tape and wrap with heater hose, this is gonna be a real mess in the near future

Polaris has a safety device that restricts the speed (usually to under 15 mph) when the drivers seat belt it not buckled.
