A great tool to have. It makes TPS adjusting a snap. I have used mine on numerous occasions.

Thank you very much for your feedback! Which motor(s) do you use it on most?
@kerwinlaw2253 Жыл бұрын
Polaris Atv and Utvs. I used it today on a 2020 Sportsman 450.

@@kerwinlaw2253 Excellent! Do you have a source for the TPS voltages, other than the service manual for each motor? I'm always looking for more data to add to my common settings page to help people out who don't have the service manuals.

@@TPSTool I am in the same boat. My reference is from service manuals. If I find another source, I`ll be sure to share it.

Do you know if the value would be the same for the 850 throttle body?
@TPSToolАй бұрын
Thanks for your comment. Lots of the 850's are in this same range, so there are reasonable odds that your 850 would be the same. You can always write down your orginal setting then try this one, and go back to the old one if you want. Also check out the common settings page on our web site for your specific model year, we have the exact settings for several years of the 850's listed.

what year is that throttle body from? My 08 rzr is slightly different (tps sensor type 2). Just curious cause I didnt see any jam nut on mine but maybe I just missed it.

Thanks for your reply. I believe this one was used on motors from 2014-2020 and possibly some 2021's. I'm going to guess that you have one of these two, either this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5_IonmXq5aiqJI or this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qH6ad6ygg795g7M

I have a 2028 Polaris 1000 xp. When the temperature is below 45 it is very slow to start. The battery is good. As soon as it starts it runs fine. Any suggestions to fix.

Thanks for your question! That could be a number of things. If the TPS is off then it could be too lean which would make cold starting more difficult. But also run a compression or leak-down test, low compression can definitely make cold starting more difficult. And in general make sure the throttle body is very clean on the inside, especially where the throttle plates close. Sometimes carbon can build up there. Then just to be complete, make sure the spark plugs are good and fuel pressure is good. I hope this helps!

Where can I find the settings for my 2016 rzr 1000?
@TPSTool Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for your question. The throttle body on that motor is fully electronic (fly by wire) and unfortunately the TPS is not adjustable on that motor. I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

What electric meter is that. Ohms!!!
@TPSTool Жыл бұрын
The meter reads the TPS feedback in volts. The service manual for these motors (and almost all EFI motors) gives the TPS specification in volts using a 5V reference input, so this meter provides the 5V reference input and reads the sensor output. Check tpstool.com for more info, and read our Amazon reviews! Older carburetor motors sometimes give the TPS specs in ohms, but it's not very precise, so every EFI motor I've seen where specs are published with specify the TPS specs in volts.

@@TPSTool My 2008 Polaris 800 rzr idle upon startup 1200 rpm then increased to 2100 within 45 seconds. Can't shift without grind. How do I lower idle rpm. Common tools.

@@charlespick248 Verify your TPS is set correctly. If anyone has messed with it already then verify the base setting is correct too. This video will help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qH6ad6ygg795g7M Specs for the 2008 RZR 800 on our web site on the common settings page. Also double check fuel pressure and that the injector is clean, make sure there are no air leaks and that the throttle cable isn't binding and holding the throttle open.
