I just did my left front wheel bearing on my 900. I purchased a bearing drive tool from SxS bushings probably two years ago now, hadn't needed it until recently. It worked fantastic better than some cars I've done, it set the bearing and seated it perfectly. I didn't mention that it pushed the old bearing out perfectly too. I believe that tool was $80 bucks when I bought it, cheaper than some specialty tools, worth every penny to save aggravation.

What size pipe do I need to put on the back side to drop that bearing?
@Racerboy5356 жыл бұрын
Why not add more bearing grease for that new bearing? I know many come with little grease from the factory. You'd sell another tool too! Lol, great videos. Thank you for taking the time to do them.

I love all these videos so much, much respect. I've started buying most of my OEM parts for my RZR here, awesome shipping, packaging, never had an order wrong yet.

Amazing video. Best I have found yet on this subject. Just wish my snap ring would have came off that easy. Instead it took me a good hour.

You never mention the size of the bearing driver that would be extremely helpful in most people situation that don’t on a kit with tons of sizes. 70mm ?

Would not even try working on my Polaris if not for the way you demonstrate & fully explain the process. I have written down all the torque settings for future use. Thank you so, much! Question, castle nut did Ihear correctly 180 ft#?
@PartzillaParts6 жыл бұрын
Yes, 180 ftlb on the castle nut. They don't mess around with a wheel coming off.

Any advice when the outer hub doesn't separate that easily from the inner hub like it did in this vid? Working on a buddies General, one side slide right apart. The other side was nearly impossible, locked in tight!

Hi there, I subscribed to your channel because you really take the time to explain everything thoroughly. What size press do you use to remove those bearings 10 ton 12 ton?
@jackdavis27293 жыл бұрын
I found the easiest way to install wheel bearing is ti put the bearing in the freezer for around 15 minutes before installing . They will almost fall in and after installing i will use a greasing tool to grease the bearing . It works a lot better and does not damage the bearing when installing.

Why did you torque to 180 if they say to torque to 110 i torqued my rzr 900s to 180 because of this vid and im worried my bearings my go faster due to this

What is the part number or brand of the bearing puller kit you're using?

Is RED loctite really needed over Blue on the bolts? Just seems like it would be a PITA removing them in the future.

Does a 900xp have a heavier hub bearing
@joselpalacios18257 жыл бұрын
Fantastic video, very well explained. John, could you make a video about changing the time chain of the 2010 Yamaha Jet boat 242 Limited, which have the STX1800G-J engine model, four cylinders and 1.8L, used also in some Yamaha jet ski. This specific engine have problems with the timing chain, and Yamada made a new chain with better performance. The problem is very common and for sure you are selling a lot of timing chain for that model. Yamaha dealers charge a fortune for that work, and I'm looking for a DIY solution. Thanks in advance.
@PartzillaParts7 жыл бұрын
The motor would have to come out of the boat completely since the timing chain is on the side facing the stern and the reduction gear output has to be removed. We aren't set up for that kind of video yet.
@joselpalacios18257 жыл бұрын
No, the timing chain in this yamaha model is not facing the stern. But anyway I agree that is better to take out the engine.
@PartzillaParts7 жыл бұрын
Well, that just shows when the last time I worked on a Yamaha boat! We need to have a slightly larger area to do those vids.

Hey man quick question well not really I have a 2018 RZR Turbo I was doing the pre inspection like I always do before a ride I jacked it up. Notice the right rear tire had some slop in it right where the axle goes through the bearing. Okay no big deal so. I just did replace the bearing still the same thing. So I took the hub off the other side an tryed it on the side with the slop torque that axle nut Down to 180 still no difference so then I tried taking the axle out of the good side and I'll swap that over to the side with a slop. Still no difference I even tried a different washer still no difference on the axle nut I'm at my wit's end. Only thing that I didn't try was the bearing housing itself but I couldn't swap that because there's a left and right hand that's the only thing I didn't try I don't have no idea what else it could be. Thanks for anybody's help. It's definitely no bushings welll radius rods. And the sad thing is the machine only has 50 miles on it

rzr killer i wish i were a honda I’ve got the same issue only on a 18 900s same side. Bearing went out changed, done right, still have a little play. Not hurting anything but aggravating knowing it’s there lol when it shouldn’t be

Your videos are great and very helpful but as an aircraft mechanic I have to ask about the cotter pin. That is a method I have never seen.

That is how Polaris does them at the factory, so I just duplicated it.

Well while you do the right thing and remove the steering arm so you torque will be accurate... then you use...SERIOUSLY?!?!?! A WOBBLE HEADED TORQUE WRENCH!!! I like your vids for the brevity and accuracy of the information and watch many of them "just in case" I might face similar problems one day but this just blew my mind.
