Thank you for the video. There are lots of videos on Polaris wedge recoils but they seem to all skip over the part about the pawl and pawl spring orientation. Much appreciated.

I am pretty sure the long end of the pawl spring goes down. By the way I really appreciate your videos :)

Which direction did that clip have to do relative to the flat spot ,I keep having drag on mine
@nuttersspeedshop2 жыл бұрын
The wire form clip? It rotates and it creates the friction to kick out the pawl. It's not super picky about how you install it.

Long leg of spring goes DOWN into pulley, not other way around....

How do you install the recoil spring?
@nuttersspeedshop19 сағат бұрын
It drops in, bit you have right wind it first.or just buy a new one that is wound.

Hey. I get the spring to hook up to the pulley and put it together and it keeps coming off. I don't why it does. Tried everything. Spring shit?
@nuttersspeedshop Жыл бұрын
Is your pulley worn out? Or maybe you just didn't get the end of the spring caught correctly? If your spring is mangled it's pretty hard to get it to catch correctly. I can't think of much more that would make that happen.
@dbehning7000 Жыл бұрын
Yeah spring is out of shape. Looked at your video again doesn't look like that. Other question? Are those 90's Polaris XLT triples bad motors and how are they on power? Heard they burn cranks and cylinders due to bad oil injection and poor oil lubrication PTO side. Guzzle gas?

Here's an interesting one nutter, what's the best way to change the headlight bulb on a wedge chassis? Seems like almost impossible without taking out the gauge pod ?
@nuttersspeedshop2 жыл бұрын
I don't pull the headlight pod. I just reach in and make it happen. Usually in the parking lot of an auto parts store near the trail.

Ah the good old pain in the ass recoil... I bet if you were not on camera that would havr went smoother. Is that a Rc truck in the back ground?
@nuttersspeedshop2 жыл бұрын
Always goes better when no one is watching :) It's an old RC Jeep rock crawler. It's broke. No time to fix it.
