I have one of the new poppets ready to install. Should the inner stem be lubed before installing it the first time or only when doing maintenance? Or doesnt the stem need to be lubed at all with the new design?

My poppet came out without having to remove the oring is this normal?

Now with this new valve would you still be able to get the different colors for different air flows and would you still be able to shim it

Yes, the only part which is different is the seat so you can still change out the stem to a low flow. However, this design is being used for all of the FE poppets so low flows will be available like this as well. This valve can still be shimmed in the same way as the old valve.

Correct. There is no performance difference between the two. The only advantage is that it is easier to install/remove.
