For all there’s talk of ‘cheating is impossible now’, all one player has to do is have the names of other players on or use Spectate to find another player. If you’re gonna do that, you at least need to be smart enough not to look like you’ve cheated

Chris He has moved away and returned to the exact same spot. PC maintains there CANNOT be cheating in the server these days. I dunno if he truly believes that or is in denial but I’ve spotted several episodes where someone has been completely dishonest. It kills the emersion for me

@@zector0 I wouldn’t necessarily say every video, but there are times I see him bending or outright breaking rules he’d tear someone a new one for. I think he now sees it as ‘his baby’ and it’s ‘his way or the highway’, and that’s causing issues, but PC oversells the capabilities of DOJ (it is a truly amazing thing that’s been done with this game, I’m certainly not saying that’s not the case) because he wants it to be perfect, even when it’s beyond either the capabilities of the software, the hardware of the group themselves. That aside, PC & DOJ members say cheating is ‘impossible’ because you can no longer see players on the map. However, there are plenty of ways to circumvent this. Stream sniping is an obvious one but only works live. The other ways, though, involve limitations in what users can do with the GTA engine. In this case, a cop completely out of the blue stumbles across PC’s position with no lead up to the event.The DOJ server relies on a significant level of trust, and there are times where that trust is respected (like the video where PC was hiding in the car lot and cops kept running past him), but too often frustrated cops, those not filming live so there’s no evidence, can either spectate another player, giving away their position by viewing it themselves, or the simply put Player ID on. When the ID is on, no matter how well hidden they are, their player ID sits above their head at all times and basically advertises their position. I’ve never seen PC, or anyone’s video, where they’re witnessed doing this, however there have been a few of PCs vids where he’s forgotten to turn the ID off at the start. Whether this means he’s had it on to give himself the advantage or whether the modded system loads with it on, I don’t know, but there’s no excuse for it being on mid game and I suspect it was the Player ID on tag that sold PCs position rather than Spectator Mode. Either way, none are acceptable imo
