Old locks are definitely more ‘fun’ to work with. 👍 The mechanisms are often unknown, and it’s trial and error (with some ingenuity) to get the open. With locks these days, it’s often a case of ‘oh, this is a such and such, I’ll Just use this pick’

A word of warning to people considering attempting to pick locks of this design - some of them contain trap discs that when rotated far enough by a pick will get locked in place by a spring. At this point, even the correct key will often cease to operate in the lock.
