When I was in high school back home, the single most subsidized police car was the mid-late 80's Monte Carlo. It was so popular with officers that even when off duty and the roof light removed, there was a 95% chance it was HPD. You could do a whole episode on the history of HPD subsidized vehicles.

Around 4 years ago The North Carolina highway patrol had several hellcat chargers across the state. Several years ago some of the troopers was assigned 5.0 mustangs.
