Did you know airboats can drive on land??? I met up with Ofc. Ronald, Bobby, Gabe, & Steve from FWC to take a ride in their airboat patrol vehicle. While out on patrol they ran down the importance of having a vessel such as this one to be able to cover the vast and unique area of the Everglades. They also discussed what to do if you come across an invasive species.

I worked for FWC LE and they're a great group of guys just trying to keep people safe, preserve Florida the beautiful and help our wildlife. I did a ride-a-long on one of these airboats and it was hecka fun. Love to FWC LE because they are the most versatile and well-trained officers in the US. Their purview is the widest of all LE agencies and they have to adapt to, literally, every kind of environment and situation, due to their territory. 💙

I just applied to FWC earlier this month (December 2023). Hoping to get on. Used to be Army early 2000's, cottections, deputy sheriff, & security. Then went into trucking for 15 years. Left trucking after getting licensed for regular & armed security. Started being an armed security patrol officer last February. I still fo trucking part time a couple days a month on top of that. Have a bachelor's degree in criminal justice as well. Not honna lie, i loved and miss over-the-road yrucking and made alot better money before yrucking wnet all to crap since last year. Had it not been for trucking going south I'd still be trucking. But doing armed security has me wanting to go back into law enforcement.

My LE dream career is an EnCon officer. Same thing as FWC but we call it differently in my state. Love seeing this. Conservation officers/game wardens are a law enforcement route not everyone mainstream else enforcement talks about. Pretty cool stuff though!!
