Get a Garmin for RV. Input the length, width, height, weight and it'll route accordingly.

There are GPS units that will tell you when there are height restrictions. Might want to look into it :)

Welcome to the northeast😂. the roads aren't bad as far as quality goes, but yes, it's a pain to navigate via trailer.. looks like Trumbull CT?
@YoungWithKidsАй бұрын
Yea seriously! feels like everywhere we turn, there is a low bridge. And yes, Trumbull!

Youd know if you were worthy of towing something for real. Called a CDL guys
@YoungWithKidsАй бұрын
Had my CDL years ago when living in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We drive a moderately short recreational vehicle, so I don’t need to drive the same as a big rig. This situation was weird because the clearance height was only 8’
@SuperRat420Ай бұрын
@@YoungWithKids then why are you making bs mistakes the cops help you with instead of risking your licence like we are. Turn it in, child
@YoungWithKidsАй бұрын
@@SuperRat420 But I like the cops. This is a great way to be able to hang out with them...

A cop doing something good 🤔🤔🤔 this is a very rare video😅
@MegatholisАй бұрын
The media would have you believe cops are bad, but if you do a tiny bit of research you'd realize police brutality is so rare it's almost non-existent

I know it was a blessing for sure 👍

Get yourself a Garmin that is specific to RV travel and has the heights and restricted roads in their data base. $400 will save you so much headache.
@YoungWithKidsАй бұрын
That’s a great idea! Never needed it in the west coast, ‘cuz our height is 11’6’, but here in the east coast, we are running into issues left and right!
@anon556Ай бұрын
@@YoungWithKids the road networks on the East Coast are old and continually built over each other. It can become very annoying. We use the RV 890 from Garmin. You Input all of your rig info and it will tailor the routes to your rig. It's a very handy device. I've only ran into one issue through our years of using it where it took us to a road that had to have just been closed recently and wasn't in their database as such. That's the only time it's ever done us wrong. It also has a ton of features that make travel less stressful. If you're coming up to an exit it will show you exactly what lane you are supposed to be in which can be a huge help in large cities where an exit might have 4 lanes that all go different directions. It also keeps track of all rest areas and places to stop along the route. It is really invaluable once you get used to using it.
